Where do I meet intelligent men?

I’ve had immense problems with finding a man I’m romantically interested in who I can relate to, that isn’t either selfish or boring or out for a shag.

I like all genres of movies, especially old movies, reading, listening to old songs, socialising and shopping. I’m into politics, religion, history and learning about other cultures and bushwalking.

I remember bushwalking from Crocodile Dundee. 🙂. I actually get so much of what I know from films. And reading but I don't know where to start there.

So maybe a film club? Or a reading club? Or maybe guys who have lived abroad? Best way to learn about cultures, imho.🙂

I could try.. I’m honestly starting to get bored with dating and accept that maybe there isn’t anyone out there for me. I’m not buying the idea that there’s someone for everyone.

I know you feel. Like for me I look for people with the same kind of interests as you but also like a personality that clicks and I honestly haven't found anyone that I really connect with.

Would you mind my asking what some of your favorite movies / books are? I also love history and it's amazing how few other people do. I'm honestly impressed. 🙂

Oh yeah, sure. Why not? I love To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, North and South and all other genres of movies. I especially enjoy old musicals and any old movies, including James Bond and Elvis Presley movies. Even though I think the women have to play emotionally explosive, childlike roles.

Reading, I like reading about other countries, cultures, history, romance and religion, politics, horror and thrillers.

What I most remember from To Kill a Mockingbird, is when Atticus Finch said that you should always tell children the truth, even if it's a hard question. In this case, what was rape. I've seen the film too but a while ago, but I really liked it.

You simply need to go to places where such activities take place.
