Girls, do you secretly dislike guys that can cook great?

I have seen a lot of women saying that they like guys that can cook but one of my friends was saying that girls actually secretly hate men that can cook but will never acknowledge that. Another girlfriend of hers backed her.

The reasons she provided

1. Girls like to cook for their men and take over the nurturing side of the relationship, if the man can already cook better than her then she feels less competent.

2. If the relationship is traditional cooking is actually the biggest factor as with time a lot of men stay or marry girls who are good cooks.

3. Cooking gives power to a girl in a relationship, it gives a girl negotiation power in a relationship. If a man can already cook, you will have less power in dynamics.

4. Other people start to think less of you and will give you hard time scrutinizing if the guy can cook better than the girl, including her parents.

Boi nah. I know multiple couples with traditional roles where the men can cook better, and it's never caused any problems and the women do like it. The men still don't cook as often because they're tired after work, and the wife cooks more often because she has time. And they can still cook, just because its not as good doesn't mean it's bad. And obviously they can cook well enough the men like their cooking.

As long as you can cook decent—even if they can cook better and want a traditional relationship—that's good enough. Nobody I know makes it competition like that.

I feel like everyone should know how to cook at least a little. My fiancé is a great cook and I love that about him, but I consider myself an equally good cook. I’ll admit it makes me feel really great when he compliments my food and I love filling that nurturing role, but it’s also nice when he gives me a night off and cooks.

Not at all. And shared values are what make men want to stay with their wife in their traditional relationship, not cooking. Traditional men are neither that stupid, nor that shallow.

Traditional men actually don't cook or clean at all look at the surveys and stats. Less than 10% of men in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, or other conservative countries do take part in cooking, cleaning, or any other housework. I work with people from all over the world. One girl from India was saying if you can find a guy from India that can do all, he's like one in millions.

I don't have to look at stats, I live around a high percentage of them. Grilling has traditionally always been seen as masculine activity in the US. Men who are considered in other countries typically are a lot less competent than US masculine men. Hence why the women in those countries tend to be more attracted to masculine American men.

😂 American men has the worst impression among actual traditional women from traditional countries. Have you seen the divorce rate and promiscuity? The only reason few traditional women marry American men because of a possible rich lifestyle and green card, nothing else. Once a lifetime grilling is different from doing it for ever. Look like you don't have any actual understanding of what traditional l and non traditional relationships are all over the world but just the americanised versions.

Your Asians friends are most likely up for a green card. The Asian women I know actually prefer non traditional American or western men. They don't want traditional man childs back in their country and American. They want an equal relationship.

Oh yes, I'm very sure that my mom and every single one of the high school girls she went with are only attracted to white men because of their. The more you speak, the more it seems that you get traditional and modern confused.
