I've been friends with a girl for over 20 years now...

and it has never been any issue whatsoever... through all these years, she had her boyfriends and I had my girlfriends... and have remained just friends to each other

I don't have to believe in it.. I've lived it for most of my life, as she's not my only friend that happens to be a girl/woman

however... there was also the case in which I ended up in a relationship with girls that were first friends (school years) and we definitely fell for each other as we got to know one another way better

Girls and boys will have friendships because it’s natural and we are humans, in children it will be pure innocence but as they grow older they will become more and more comfortable with being around each other where they might try relationship which is also human behavior
