How long is the “honeymoon” phase?

I met my girlfriend when I was 21 and she was 19, this was 3 years ago (im 24 not 25) I am pretty socially awkward and I couldn’t believe she liked me. She’s genuinely the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen and she’s extremely caring. There are only 3 people I’ve ever met in this world that make me actually proper laugh and she’s one of them (even though I do find others funny I usually don’t actually laugh at them.) What I’m trying to say is, she’s perfect for me and I’ve always thought that. She’s always taken me back whenever I’ve seen her or been around her and we have lived together for the past 2 years. Will this fade? Or will it have faded already? Don’t get me wrong, we bicker and argue occasionally but we always laugh it off or sort it and we never really proper argue. I still can’t help myself but to stare at her because I still can’t believe she’s mine, I know that sounds creepy. So, am I still in the honeymoon phase?

The honeymoon phase has that name for a reason. It usually lasts about 2 years AFTER two people have been married.


Things change a lot after marriage. You never really know that person until you have lived with them long enough.


That feel good feeling couples have starts to wane after that two year anniversary.

Thank you I hope it does as well aha she’s definitely the girl I want marry someday and luckily we live together so it’s easier to show her I love her rather than when we didn’t and I only saw her every few weeks
