Any lunch Ideas?

Hi guys. So, for the past year that I've been in a relationship with my boyfriend, I've cooked a few times, and I could count it on one hand. We are in a distance relationship, he's in another country but we make time for each other often. I'll visit him next week and I would like to make his work lunches for him just as appreciation for everything he does. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life as of yet so I'm not really working and he's very supportive. He's honestly the best boyfriend ever, he communicates, listens, sees and understands me. Packing hos lunch is the least I can do.

Anyways, to cut this short, when do you pack the lunch? At night, when making dinner or in the morning? Also, what kind of food do you pack? He's Canadian. I can't pack him what I eat cause I'm African & I've tried making African cuisine for him for dinner and I painfully watched him eat it with a fork when it's meant to be eaten with hands😂😂😂

And yes, he can make his lunch, he already does, but I want to take care of it so he doesn't have to.

I usually prepare my lunch boxes for school on Sundays and on Wednesdays. It gives me each time 2 meals; Monday-Tuesday for the meals prepared on Sundays and Thursday-Friday for the meals prepared on Wednesday. On Wednesdays I would simply prepare a quick lettuce and cucumber salad.

An idea for a quick meal would be a type of casserole called Lecso (pronounce "letsho"). It is a typical Hungarian meal. You need to cook rice in water, slice a few hotdogs, fry onions (or alternatively, use onion flakes), paprika powder, garlic and onion powder. Chop 1 green bell pepper and 1 red bell pepper into little cubes. Put everything into a pot and let it cook for about 45 minutes. Et voilà, you have at least 3 meals and it is delicious eaten cold as well.

I'm in Canada and usually I make my lunches in advance. On Sunday night I make 3 meals and Wed night I make 2.

basically a sandwich is normal if he is blue collar but if he works in an office leftovers is normal
