Why do more Guys own Iphones and Androids than women?

Recent surveys show that 55% of all Iphone users are men with the number growing. Over 75% of Android users are men. Are guys just more tech saavy?

3 out of 4 men go for android because they put a little more thought into their purchase and even though a lot a men chose iphone(men are more into tech in general), almost half of their users are women which care more about looks of a product and its image.

My girlfriend and I went to bestbuy to get a laptop for her. She ended up liking a sony that was much more expensive. When I asked her why she said she liked the keyboard which had a nice shape to it. Also she liked the color. Guys will tend to go for a nicer screen or faster specs which is based on some function. She ended up choosing a mac laptop because she decided it was even prettier than the sony ><. My laptop is a beast to look at but will blow hers out of the water performance wise.

Of course these are generalizations and choosing a product is much more in depth for some people.

All the survey shows is that more men found the Apple Survey and actually bothered to fill it in. Surveys are bollocks in general and I never trust the figures they release as it is not a true reflection of anything

I think men just generally like gadgets and things that have like 15737247859 functions, just like a lot of them are into shiny, fast cars and heavily made-up, scantily-clad women who put out as soon as you glance in their direction; Social status [cool points], instant gratification, and convenience. So they're more interested in getting the latest and greatest phones, laptops, game systems, etc. when they come out. Just my observation. My boyfriend recently updated to an Android, but before that he'd gone through a lot of older phones, including a pink Razr a friend gave him when his older phone crapped out, lol. And I updated to the iPhone about a week ago, after having the same phone for over 3 years, and the second version of the same phone for like another year and a half after that.

Yeah. All my guy friends are slready drooling over the new Iphone coming out. My girlfriends could care less. I stood in line last year with my B/F for 5 hours so he could get his Iphone. I was one of a few girls waiting in line.

Hahaha yes exactly. I know a few girls who have an iphone but the majority are guys. I know the iphone 5 is supposed to be coming out soon but I wanted a new phone now, I didn't feel like waitinv because I don't need the most up to date everything. =P

I think girls are less impressed with the ability to watch p*rn while talking to your friend, playing games, and surfing the net at the same time.

The only reason I'd own either of those phones was for 1) Apps that make my life easier (and me lazier) and 2) Angry Birds.

100% true. My friend pays so that he can do face time with some 900 number place.

Women are buying purses, shoes, and dresses in massive bulk because they are on sail. They simply don't have the money to purchase and afford these phones.
