What is a good but thoughtful gift for a man you are in a new relationship with?

It’ll be almost 2 months by Christmas. Was thinking of getting him a pair of crocs because they have a 40% off sale and I found out his shoe size. I thought about a cool t shirt or something too. What are some good gifts for men? (Posted this earlier but I had the wrong category)

Something useful for a goal or goals of his. Not that I'm suggesting anything, but the best gift a girlfriend could give me is going to a hardware store to get me one tool within her budget, going along as I handle every tool I wanted to, being absolutely patient while I chose one. A tool should fit the hand.
