I think there are people who are born as active but then they live passive life vice versa. Do you think you are truly active or passive?

I'm skewed towards the extremely active side. I was never the type to play the "she likes me, she likes me not" game, for example. I figure I just need to ask her out and see.

I enjoy playing Poker (just for pocket change in low stakes) and I'm actually what a lot of people call a maniac (loose aggressive) as in I come in firing bets and raises and 3-bets and 4-bets. I almost never call (not very passive) and I fold much fewer hands (not very tight).

I don't like to play guessing games. I like to dive into situations and take actions, even to a fault. I would actually benefit from a bit more passivity in areas.

Same thing in my work as a software dev. I'm the ultimate case of the programmer who just dives in and starts coding things as soon as I have an idea. Most other people mull over the idea, spend much more time on the drawing board and planning, before they write a single line of code.

There's merits both ways. People who are more passive tend to save time when their idea is actually good because they invest way more time into their good ideas mulling over them, but lose time when their ideas are bad for the same reason.

People like me who are extremely aggressive and just dive in and start prototyping right away tend to save time when our ideas are bad (since we can quickly and easily discard our prototypes given how little time we spent on them) but lose time when they're good (since we didn't think things through enough in advance that the prototype can be used as anything more than a proof of concept).
