I don't know. I probably took the opposite tact. I never worried about it. I always just figured I would meet someone and all of it would fall into place (not saying that I didn't realize relationships take effort).
But when I reached my mid to late twenties I thought, ok I'll be someone who meets someone in thier 30's.
Then in my 30's I thought ok well I'll meet someone past my middle age.
Then at 40 I thought ok I'll give it another decade.
And now facing down almost 50 I've just accepted I'm going to stay single.
At this point I just wished I hadn't waited for someone that was never coming.
That sad and heartbreaking
At times I think that way. Then I look at friends of mine who've found there someone and years. later gotten divorced. I mean it sucks I've always been single. But I've never had to deal with divorce either.
I guess what I'm saying is when you get to this age it's less sad. Because you realize how low your odds are of ever meeting someone that you can be forever with. Very few relationships are capable of that.
