A woman that is raped is by far the person that I would feel sorry for. That is the ultimate and abject act that a woman can be the victim of.

Now, you don't tell her how she was caught off guard. If she was just walking down the street minding her own business or if she was at home and someone broke into her house, then this is a sexual crime that needs to be punished by law with the highest sentence possible.

Now, I am a little concerned when you say "caught off guard". If she was in the nude in a dark alley doing something that she knew would attract predators, then my opinion is slightly different. She is taking a risk and willing to accept the consequences. If she was raped because she tempted some pervert and predator, then my opinion is not as strong anymore. She took a risk and paid for it knowing that this could possibly happen.
