Why are most people and society so nasty to tall women?

I mean society said the man needs to be taller than the woman. I mean men are naturally taller than women and most women are shorter than men. Society said that short and average size women are seen as more feminine and attractive than tall women which makes us tall women over 5’7 feel so insecure and self conscious.
I’ve been insulted, rejected and asked dumb questions since I am a 6’4” woman. I needed to take a break from here because I’ve been getting nasty comments from some men that I’m masculine looking or have a masculine height. My dad is 6’7 so I got it from him (thanks a lot Dad! 😡)

Anyways I have a new boyfriend and he is a great guy. We met two months ago and we’ve been on four amazing dates and he asked me to be his girlfriend this past Friday. People have giving us funny looks as he’s 6’1” and I’m like I said, 6’4”.
He doesn’t care that I’m taller than him that meant so much to me and I don’t care if he’s shorter than me. His parents weren’t so friendly to me at first. His mom (5’5) was so intimidated by me and his dad (also 6’1) was shocked on how tall I am. Well one of his uncles I met yesterday gave me shit for being a 6’4” woman. He said, “Doddamn nephew. You got a BIG one. Next time, get you a shorter woman!”that really hurt my feelings.
He said to my face, “Aren’t you uncomfortable dating a man shorter than you? I doubt this relationship is going to last! You won’t even land another man.” I told him off I wasn’t going to put up with his disrespect. Wow…..

Never have I ever been nasty to tall women. And to be honest, they haven't been nasty to me either. I prefer to date shorter than myself, but if the girl is feminine, attractive, and compatible with me, height isn't really a factor. I could date a 6'4 girl. But I'd probably be more worried about how she feels about her own image which would make me a little insecure with her. I'd want her to feel as feminine as she wants to feel. Well there isn't anything that you can do about your height there is a possibility that this relationship could work out for you and it's not really based only on height difference or similarities that you share. You were just born naturally taller than most of the population of people in other countries, so, it's not something that you can control. I suppose maybe society is not as welcoming towards taller women because they usually equate being tall with maleness and that can unsettle some men and even some women; it's more so an adaptive and survivalist feature that people have but it's not usually anything personal, especially if you don't know these people. If you also have the feeling of being insecure and being attacked then any comment people make about your height tends to make you feel anxious.

To be honest, I don't think this uncle was trying to personally offend you it's just that he's not very considerate or sensitive about such topics; it's very likely that this man is just ignorant or insensitive in general but it's not usually said with malice or any kind of intention to harm a person's ego. You can’t control your height. I got bullied for being short so I can understand opposite end of the spectrum. You can’t control if other people stare in public but you can control how you react to it and not let it bother you. As for the family that is on your boyfriend to get them to either keep opinions like that to themselves or limit time with them if they’re not going to treat you well. I liked a few tall chicks when I was younger. There was this cute couple in my platoon when I was in the Infantry. A tall woman, probably 6’1 (which seems like 6’7 for a girl) with a short nerdy dude that was the same rank as me. She had a good heart, as most tall women tend to. Guys today have low testosterone and lacked masculine guidance growing up. So they are intimidated. I'm 6'2 and I have never had a problem with tall women.
What I DO have a problem with however are, people who have problems with other people due to their height, weight, looks. Everyone is different to someone else, and it shouldn't matter about ANY of it!

It’s really that short men get garbage for it as well. People kept saying tall women and short men belong together.
When I was a lot younger I always looked for a tall guy and I was always taller than most men. Nowadays even though I prefer taller but I’m open to all options and I have dated a shorter guy before. My boyfriend and I are happy together.
