Trending & News Don't think in terms of Normal/ Abnormal; that, generally coupled with other insecurities, can have a significant impact on your mental well-being.
It can happen to some people that their 'time' comes a bit later than others. Nothing to be ashamed of.
I had a lot of, unreasonable, insecurities during my teens... there's a medical explanation, in my case, for that... and I also was under the impression that I was late with my first time compared to others. I wasn't, the age of 17 is average-age bracket... but it is an average, meaning some start as young as 13, or even younger, and others as late as in their mid to late 20s.
The youngest mom and dad in the UK have been both 12 I believe (of course I find this wrong; but it happens)
Is not having a girlfriend/boyfriend considered abnormal? I think it's normal. But I've observed that on average, almost everyone has a partner, whether it's because they have someone to confide in or they just want to experience romantic things and other reasons. So it's like a necessity to have a partner for people who don't have a partner.
Surprisingly, they say they are afraid of being in a relationship because they are afraid of unwanted behavior from their partner in the relationship, whether it is abuse, toxic relationships, embracing patriarchal culture and others. So, how come people are afraid of being in a relationship but still want to have a partner? With all the reasons why people want to be in a relationship, isn't it possible to divert that energy or feeling into something more exciting?
Some people are just slow learners. Or at least hopefully that is the problem. Some are just socially crippled from lack of experience.
Im coming from the 80s but have had a girlfriend since 12-13 like most others back then. Are you shy?
I am very shy
You can break that habit. Enlist trusted friends to encourage you to push boundaries. Practice - the line at starbucks is your classroom

That's completely normal and nothing to be ashamed about. Life's not a race. 🫶
It's okay. My boyfriend didn't have a girlfriend until me. At 32.
It's the male loneliness epidemic and you are part of it. No surprise there.
Not normal. By your age you should have already experienced being with a woman.
