Do you text talk to anyone everyday? And if so who and why?

What would make you feel obligated to checking in everyday? Do you like it if someone is friendly and wants to say good morning or hi daily? Is it only really amongst people that have strong feelings for eachother?

I talk to my discord friends daily. I was permanently banned on reddit for the weirdest reasons, so we added each other on discord. They help me with the loneliness a lot, and they feel the same way. I don't know what i even did before i had them.

I text with my boyfriend every day. There are days we don't get to see each other at college. So, texting is the easiest way to stay in touch. We just respond as we have the time in between our class schedules.

There are times I go out with just the girls (roommates) and he will be out with his friends. We usually don't text then because it is friend time.

I'm a very text-oriented person and when I find another one then it's gonna be a whole encyclopedia being written lol. That doesn't happen often though. It's a rare sight.

I try to talk to my mom and sister every day, usually through text with my sis. My mom, I call. I don't feel obligated to do it, it's just they're my family and I check in to see how everyone is doing.

My friend does that. Phones her mum everyday. She has a long commute from work tho so it's a good time to do it. I only phone my mum once a week. And see her in person once a week. I can't imagine daily!!

Lol... people have told me that. My mom had knee surgery a couple years ago, so I took time off work to care for her. Physical therapists would come to the house for her and one of the therapists told me there is NO WAY in hell she could care for her mother like that lol she said they'd be at each other's throats after a day.

Awww. So you find you make most of the effort? How come? How come u message first do u think? I used to. But now I don't. I'll put a post up to show ilm about then let them message me if they wanna chat. Sometimes i will have a specific person in mind. Guy I like messages me every day. He used to stop sometimes. But he's got more consistent now which I like and he says sorry if he hasn't been about much. It's nice. It's almost exactly a year so I'm pretty amazed.

Nah I don't text first I let them text first until they get bored and when I feel they found someone else I just delete them. I just talk to people who want to talk to me, I don't work for it anymore because I have no hopes for anything happening in real life. I just play around until they get bored enough with me and move on then I make sure they can't come back. Longest I talked to someone was 8 months.. the most recent guy was 7, I did like him but I am not one to make connections anymore its a waste of time.

It's not a waste of time. And maybe don't delete them? Or unfriend but don't block? I've had some people come and go. And then friendship grows out of it. Like maybe they do get another interest or maybe life gets busy or yeah maybe the convo gets boring so space can be good. Then if they choose to reach out again your a little bit more in their defenses. Cos a lot of people have walls up and trist takes time.

LOL nah I can't be bothered anymore to actually consider people friends especially guys.. I don't usually block them but I delete and unfriend and most people don't keep tabs on my usernames, so they don't usually try to talk to me again lol. I was so sick of getting attached to people that just used my friendship, that now I keep things shallow as fuck and get rid of everyone first.

Aww OK. I get it. I do. I've had some connections with guys abd then it just dies. Connection is a beautiful thing tho. Even if it comes and goes.
Now crushes? Or love? Yeah that can be tough. I've had a broken heart so many times! But I feel stronger for it.
If you feel happy doing it your way that's fine too. Your protecting yourself from hurt. Which is a natural response.

I think it's nice. If I lived with a partner I'd still like a hey how's your day going when we apart at work or something. Doesn't have to be all day. But it's nice when apart to check in.
