Yes I do. But love is something you have to believe in or you can't experience it.

"Love isn't one-sided and selfish. It is full and generous and life-altering in the best of ways".

I knew that my parents and grandparents loved me, but I was a kid and took it for granted.

Beginning at age 16, I was deeply infatuated with all my long-term girlfriends for a while. Infatuation is the feeling that people associate with romantic love. It's the greatest feeling in the world. It's what all the teen love songs are about.

But infatuation eventually fades, although sometimes true, deep love grows from it.

When I was 36, I met a 30 year old. We wound up living together for almost 2 years. She was the first woman I ever loved with my entire heart and soul. And she loved me.
Unfortunately, we could not be partners for life and separated even though we still loved each other.
I have never experienced such pain in my life. It took me a year to pull myself together and move on. But I never stopped loving her and will never forget her.

Then I met my (future) wife. We've been happily married now for over 28 years, had LOTS of fun, and built a wonderful life together. We are best friends, trusted partners, and lovers. We truly care about each other.
I love her deeply, way beyond infatuation. She's my family.

I still do believe in love, even there are ups and downs. Today I may believe in love but won't allow disrespect. If for some reason I don't like the action of someone, I may not talk anymore but get rid of the person immediately if something I don't like happen again. For example putting me at back of the car when I am with boyfriend. I can let slice twice but never a third time. If it is family that is something that I would have accepted

Only platonic love like the love you receive from family and friends exists. Any other type came straight from hell
