I felt a deep, strong emotional connection to my husband when we met. Years of mental illness (I have schizophrenia) have really worn down our relationship.

I've been getting help though, and been trying to rebuild our relationship. We're "just friends" for now (nothing really romantic). He is an incredible man though... He has stuck with me through the most horrible mental conditions, and helped take care of me when I was completely incapacitated. I can never replace him, and will fight for that deep, strong emotional connection again. Even if it takes years.
