disclaimer I’m 25 I’m not 30 years old.
My boyfriend came over to take care of me while I was sick, bringing food and spending time with me as I worked on college assignments. I even made him some food since he only brought me a little. During our time together, I noticed he had changed his screensaver of us back to his original one, which felt odd and hurtful to me. I immediately thought he might be hiding something or didn’t want someone to see it.
This led to a disagreement where he argued that he has the right to change his screensaver whenever he wants and didn’t realize he needed my permission. He said, "the genesis of this whole conversation is my problem," and expressed that if I wanted him to keep me on his screensaver, "it’s your responsibility to communicate that." He also noted that "doing that through anger and emotion is not acceptable."
I’m concerned that I might be coming off as too negative. Am I overthinking this situation, I could have handled my feelings without seeming overly negative and I take accountability for that. and I take accountability for that
