What are the warning signs of an extremely jealous person?

What are the warning signs of an extremely jealous partner? I've had multiple experiences, with my last being the worst. He seemed normal, and I’ve never cheated—always shared my passwords and allowed access to my accounts. Despite my cooperation, he was controlling.

I was a server and he would come to my job when he was done from work and would sit down and wait for me at the bar section till I finished. He ended up befriending my coworkers, however there were weird instances where he would start being extremely rude to some of my male coworkers to the point where they limited interaction with me when they would see him arrive. I would quit and try to find a different job because of the tension he would create. The worst: I couldn’t go anywhere alone; he would either come with me or I couldn’t go. I’d have to work around not being able to go somewhere when he wasn’t available just to make sure he wouldn’t get upset.(however he was usually available since he was a business owner)

On very rare occasions he’s allow me to go where I needed to go, but would ask my son to make sure no guys talked to me and if they did, to make sure to let him know. There were some occasions where guys would glance at me and they’d receive a long death stare. I ended up losing friends and family. Also…. He was the biggest cheater, I was pretty naive when I met him and we where about 8 years apart… so it was probably his guilty conscience. What are the red flags to avoid a relationship like this in the future?

Well each controlling person is different some are more overt while some are covert. Some are physically controlling such as using physical violence to make you do what they want. Some are emotional and mental. Making you feel crazy. Making you feel bad. Calling you names things like that.

It can be financial such as controlling your money. Basically telling you that you’re not going to be able to get what you want or need if you don’t do this. Using gifts as a means of control. It seems nice but oh you don’t get those diamond earrings if you don’t do this.

Sexual manipulation. Can be two extremes one is forcing you into sexual acts. Things you may be uncomfortable with. When you’re not in the mood. As well as withholding sex from you. You’re not getting sex if you don’t do this…

Abuse comes in many ways. A lot of people seem great at first until you get to know them.

Being controlling of who you’re hanging around especially people of the opposite sex. But when same sec friends as well as even keeping you from your family.
