Would you sacrifice your job for love?

Everyone always says money comes first before any person. Which i don't believe at all. I think love is more important than some job or money. Love is something that money can't buy. I rather come home to happy loving family than come home to an empty house and loneliness.

Of course if it's true love I would definitely do it because I've been blessed and I can do just about anything in this world and I can do it good so that means with all my trades that I have I can go anywhere do anything I could work for myself which I do so yes I would and I wish that would happen lol

If it's true love, in a heartbeat. I've always wanted a partner that loves me for me and doesn't care about where I am in life. That sadly is extremely rare and is unlikely for myself to find. I'd rather have someone that can take me at my low and stay with me no matter how long it takes me to get to my high and not regret a moment of it.

What scenario are you positing? That you should give up a job that supports you for a relationship?

There is the biggest caveat... What if the relationship is temporary? Then you're out of a job AND a relationship.

Or is the scenario that your SO wants you to give up your job to follow them somewhere else? Well, is there a good chance you can get a similar job when you arrive at the new location? Or, are you talking about someone who no longer wants you to work while you're with them?

Big questions. Do you want to be completely dependent on someone who'll have to give you money and who will be in charge of how much, and/or when you get money?

Will you have equal access to money in the relationship, and equal knowledge of and decision making as to how and on what money is spent?

Don't be blinded by a love relationship. We all need money to live and it is the No. 1 or 2 reason relationships fail: disagreements on how it's spent. I would be very wary about a SO who wants you to give up your financial independence. Sounds like someone who wants to control you.

And without financial security and independence there is little chance you'll have a happy family because you'll be struggling to make ends meet. There needs to be balance on all fronts. Make sure you have that.

Its an interesting take.
I recently have been feeling the loneliness that comes from my decisions.
I sacrificed a lot for money. Moved away to another country looking for a better education and a higher paying job.

So far I am slowly but surely finding those things but the trade off is a LOT of cold nights alone in my apartment

Would I trade it all away for love?
Would that I could.

Because if I somehow found love it won’t pay the bills on its own. It won’t potentially raise children etc…

So either I strike big and build my wealth to the point of not having to work as much as I do right now.
Or I marry a woman who turns out to be rich and I can divide my attention between wealth and family since she’d be pulling in her weight

So for now I just keep grinding on.

I don't understand in what kind of scenario is love or job preferred?

For example;

man to woman: Leave your job and come to my country with me, shall we get married?

Or the woman just found a good job and is going to move to another state, you quit your job and come with me, let's not be apart, our love cannot carry long distances, quit your job and come.

Or is your partner jealous of people at work and going into a jealous rage, asking you to leave that workplace?

Absolutely not , sacrificing my job , that I love , that fulfills me and serves me , which has taken years to build and provides me the finance to have ALL that I need in life and most of what I want for just the love of a woman… HELL NO !

I wouldn't. My goal since before my dad passed was to develop a system with enough passive income so I could just retire by 40 if I want. And with how difficult I can be romantically, I'd regret giving up the income for something than ended in a few months.
