If you had a time machine, what year would you set the machine to take you to AND WHY?

I'm not sure if I would want to go into the future with it, but definitely 1977 because I was so very happily married and young (20).

I was 22 and turned 23 in August. I got married when I was 20.

This is a conendrum…
A Time Machine can only take as far back as to the date at which it was invented.
To the best of my memory, no such device had ever been invented before and thus, I am doomed to stay in this time.
However, if such a time travel was possible, then there would be a number of periods I would love to visit. Why?


I would love to have a chat with Marie Curie, Leonardo da Vinci, Mozart and a number of campus people that achieved something great in the past.
Now, I do have a major problem with your own time travel. If you were 20 in 1977, then you are much younger than the age in your profile 😉

I did get married in 1975 when I was 20 and I guess that's what I meant when I said 20. In 1977 I would have been maybe 22?

Probably 1975, California. The music scene saw some great bands like Fleetwood Mac (which I saw in concert much, much later), but also bands like The Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Heart, The Grateful Dead, Santana... probably the crème de la crème of the '70s music scene.
