When sleeping with your partner which side of the bed do you tend to sleep on?

An interesting question, because I don't think it's has straight forward as perhaps it might seem.

I prefer to sleep on the right side of my female partner.

The choice of bed side could be the preferred side decided to make love with your partner.

Perhaps sleeping near to the door could be the preferred option to give your partner a feeling of security.

Maybe children are involved and it might be decided the person nearest the door should attend to their needs.

Or if the bed is next to the wall, perhaps one person doesn't sleep as much as the other person, or they have to go to work early in the morning.

I've never discussed the question with a partner, but perhaps we should give it some consideration in the future?

Here’s a very high frequency trend for who sleeps where in heterosexual-shared beds. It depends on which hand is the man’s dominant hand. If he’s a righty, he sleeps on the right. If he’s a lefty, he sleeps on the left. You can probably guess why.

Weirdly I used to sleep on the left. I had a boyfriend for 3 months who slept on the right. After we broke up - this was 2024 - I switched and always sleep on the right!

My best friend/friends with benefits - he sleeps left. Me right. But sometimes I'll sleep left the next night he's not in my bed. Maybe it's my way of missing their body space?

Actually I sleep alone & use a whole queen sized bed.

I’ve worked 2 jobs all of my life and at times 3. Missed a lot of those precious moments when my kids were growing up.
To do one thing you sacrifice other things. Looking back I would rather had 1 house and not missed those moments when the kids were growing up.
