Therefore, there are many things that can still happen till that date that could be possible "candidates" for a confession. Also, nobody knows in advance how they will pass away. It could be tomorrow in a car accident where you die on the spot while being unconscious and in that case, you are not on a death bed and cannot confess, even if you want to.
