It is lust, but it isn't an antithesis to love, just as an older epoch isn't antithesis of a newer epoch. It is a precursor.

Millions of years ago, there was no romance. Not even parenting. The biggest act of love was casual sparing a life when cannibalism was normal.

We are evolving though. Out of aninalistic instincts arose romance. Now out of romance can emerge non-biological love and care of others as you'd want done unto you.

Actually, all of it is love. Lust is also love. Just a pathetic immature version of it. It has to start somewhere. There would be no growth if we are never small. And without growth there's no direction of good and bad so no love either.

Now, i sound all philosophical and shit, but i still am run by how my parents wired my brain in my first 7 years.

I secretly think to myself, i wish the person i ruined it all with, they will be single in 20 years and i will finally get them because my parents were detrimentally loyal. I think it is lust since it is all about how my brain was wired, but lust too is a low version of love. Let's just never forget that a better form of love is always possible.
