What does it mean when a guy and a girl fight like brothers and sisters but aren't related?

Ha, ha...I used to work with this guy for 5 years and we fought like brother and sister but we were actually really good friends. We would talk to each other about our relationships, people at work, home projects, cars, etc...We aren't working together anymore but still see each other for lunch sometimes or text each other with news. There really was no sexual thing going on at all.

You don't have to be biologically related to be siblings. Sometimes our friends are the siblings that we choose for ourselves. I don't know that there has to be any emotion behind it besides what real siblings have-the desire to protect, the desire to succeed etc.

Just depends really but like sometimes its a flirting thing where things they do drive you crazy and annoy you and you go home like " ashley is such a idiot who does that.." but over time like maybe your talking to someone and later they give you a lot crap about it... most likely they are jealous. I work with a girl I used fight with a lot and I found out she used to really like me, now she has a boyfriend and always tries to give me a hard time but no one else..there are little signs you just pick up.
