How easily do guys get jealous over a girl they like?

Like if she is hanging out with other guys, or if she is going out at night without you. What type of stuff makes guys jealous? And how easily can it happen?

That depends almost entirely on how sane or rational he is. How secure he feels. If he's reasonably well adjusted in that regard, then he won't get very jealous, much at all, and anything he would get jealous about would have to be a genuine offense. Not easily at all. That's if he's smart and well adjusted.

Why?

Well, despite what some people think, jealousy is not about whether you like somebody. It's not about love or caring. It's not about anything good much at all. Jealousy is about fear, insecurity, paranoia, control (or lack thereof) petty territoriality and overall distrust. That's a fact. Jealousy is not a good thing, it's not cute, it's not endearing, and it's never a good sign. It means something is wrong.

It means there's something driven between you, or that there's a lack of trust, or worse, perhaps a reason not to trust. Sometimes it's even completely unfounded. Sometimes not. (And if there's a genuine reason not to trust your significant other, you probably should have left ages ago.) Sometimes it's some idiot guy who thinks he has to be those mall guys saying "You lookin' at m' girlfriend?". Sometimes it's a sign of things to come, and it could lead to flatout abuse. Seriously, jealousy is a very bad thing. It's irrational, and it ultimately makes one or both of you miserable.

Bottom line is, hanging out with others shouldn't be an issue. Going out without with friends shouldn't either. Jealousy is bad, and if the person you're seeing is well adjusted, sane, and even halfway intelligent, this shouldn't be a problem. Jealousy shouldn't be a factor at all. Especially if you're trustworthy.

Depends on the guy. Different guys react differently. Personally, I don't get jealous at all, no matter how many other guys look at my girl or talk to her, or if she goes and hangs out with a group of guys. The only thing I'd get jealous about is if I start feeling as if she wants to hang out with other guys more than she wants to hang out with me.

So basically, as long as I feel that she loves me and wants to be with me, I'll never feel jealous. Even if someone else hits on her. lol I'd trust her to just handle it because deep down I'd know it's me she really likes.

I know most guys aren't like this though and will get jealous even if another guy so much as LOOKS at the girl he's with. And I don't understand it. ._.

I don't get jealous. Either 1) she's having normal conversation with other men/guy friends or fighting off approaching guys, or 2) she's all the way in it playing games to attempt to manipulate me while attention whoring. If the first thing is happening it doesn't bother me at all. If the second thing is happening, I just think very poorly of her. I never have once thought gosh what does that other guy have, I better work harder I don't want to lose her, why isn't she paying attention to me or the kind of crap that would seem to be in line with jealousy. The thoughts are always along the lines of does she really think that game is helping her, hmmm she's disrespectful and lacks loyalty, wow that girl over there is pretty cute, let me go talk to her... The girl that was playing games is now dead in the water. She has no chance to ever come back. It doesn't matter what she does, she's already shown the worst flaw, which makes her completely worthless as a potential woman.

depends on the guy. some will be almost immediate jealous some will get sort of jealous but also rationalize that emotion with the understanding that it may mean nothing and some guys will not give a d*mn
