Which advantages and disadvantages is it with religion?

Question

I want to hear your opinions about it.  Please elaborate yourself.  I'd like you to list  both  benefits and disadvantages. #Religion #Advantage #Disadvantage

Advantages:
1. U feel like your life is not completely purposesless
2. U have more hope because u have God to rely on
3. U feel more peaceful (not necessarily tho.. just in terms of inner peace)
4. Religion defines what's right and wrong and provides u with some limits u shouldn't cross, in order to be fair towards yourself and other people around you. *it brings justice*

Disadvantages:
1. If u follow a certain religion, u will have to follow all of its rules whether u like them or not, whether they make sense or not, if u wanna be a true follower of the religion, u can't really choose which ones to follow and which ones to ignore. (Although if u do ignore some u r simply considered to be not that religious)
2. U become more fearful of whether or not you're truly a good person or not. Which makes u more fearful of whether u will end up in heaven or hell and that can be really stressful
3. Sometimes religions can be really confusing and people have many different interpretations and views on different religious matters, which can leave u confused as to what exactly to follow, and can also result in wrong practice of the religion, which has its negative effects.
4. Religions can be manipulated and are manipulated to divide people and create wars, although religions themselves are supposed to be peaceful

An advantage can be in like myself being at peace with death and mortality and religious beliefs can keep normal people on the straight and narrow it can also give a sense off purpose and those like me who felt at odds with this world like why do I exist if life is random them there be no point off anything and I just live and die and that is wasteful. The disavange lies with fanatics who take it upon themselves to attack others like sexist point of views see men as above woman and forcing woman to marry some cunt because that cunt feels she should to use religion to murder rape others and to start wars only because a god Said so a God who gives you free will then would send you a daughter or son to a fictional place known as hell to be tortured for the rest off eternity like it some sick joke and to promote a God who is basically worst then the devil they fear. I could go on all day

This isn’t the fault of religion itself, but of the people who argue, just like any other argument regarding opinions. (I don’t argue about it, though.) Disadvantage: Many religion restrict the freedom of expressing one's sexuality. I think of religion as a leg brace. It helped us grow in the past, but we no longer need it and it's detrimental now.
