Religion is very important to me, I would rather die than denounce my religion. I know that sounds kinda dramatic lol, but it’s true- and I promise, I’m a chill person😂
So I’m a Muslim, I believe in Islam. You say you’re not attracted to believe in Islam and I assume because you believe it’s not really close to your culture? If not please correct me, and if you don’t want to believe in Islam that’s okay, but what I will say, is Islam isn’t exclusive to a particular culture or people, and it’s not an “Arab religion” Islam is a religion that came for everyone regardless of your race, gender, culture, sexual orientation- Islam came as a religion of monotheism and submission God for everybody. If the reason is that you don’t feel you belong to Islam because you’re not Arab or brown and you feel it’s not for you, please don’t feel that way. Islam is for everybody, you don’t have to Arab, or of a particular culture- 1 in every 3 people are Muslim. I guarantee you, you will find at least one Muslim from your culture☺️
If you do change your mind, and want to learn about Islam feel free to pop up in my inbox with any kind of questions and I’ll try and answer them to the best of my ability and I’ll try and direct you to some good Islamic sources for any questions I might not be able to answer.
I wish you all the best on your journey of faith❤️
I’ve researched all three religions, I’m subscribed to an orthodox Jewish mailing list, I watch two orthodox Christian live streams every month and I dabbled in paganism before I converted to Christian - I recommend Orthodox or Reform Judaism or Orthodox Christianity but not Conservative Judaism, I find those churches are very pure and sanctified and merciful to their members and Orthodox Christianity does not force its members to go through rigorous training before your admitted into their society the way Orthodox Judaism does.
I'd prefer to go through rigorous training and maybe even defend Israel by joining the IDF it's the holy land after all.
Normally people take the religion of their mothers. I'm not religious because I'm intelligent, but I do understand how it brings comfort to those less able to process events. If you are into bush craft, pagnism would appear a good fit, plus all the major holidays fit quite nicely with the Christian calendar (funny that eh?) so it could be an easy win for you. Just don't do Islam. Like, Mohammed was a warrior. You could not pick a worse career choice for an idol. I think it is also hard to square off the separation of church and state in Islam.
I'm descended from a line of Prussian hussars and Cossacks as well that makes me a warrior too but my father gave up orthodoxy because they shamed him for leaving his nation. I'm really passionate about hunting and living out in the wild, I understand we are animals as well and mother nature has blessed with abundant free food that I will never pay the government to "allow" me to hunt.
Sounds like Paganism is the way to go then.
Have you considered Buddhism? I think Pagan/Wiccan is cool more or less and it could be very independent.
There's also another one that's more a generalization but called Panentheism which is that there are spirits in everything and everywhere.
You could make your own religion up out of whatever you like about various religions until you have a highly personalized one that fits you just right.

Religion was forced on me then I learned too much so I don't believe now. 10/10 don't recommend. Most religions have a malicious god that people try justify.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. But I don't think about myself as an individual but I think about my son, my girlfriend and me combined and I think that instilling traditional values into my family would be a better decision for our future and religion is a great way to do that.
Forcing your kids to believe in a religion is not a healthy thing
@Smashingdoozy I just feel that not instilling these values are sometimes more damaging than letting them do what they want. I'm not an extremist but having a child at this age, I feel like people who have just simple traditional values in them are less bothered about the bad things that are happening in this world and are generally more happy people. Things have changed for me I understand how important I'm to my parents and wouldn't want my son to leave me.
You can instill values into your kids without religion. My friend had a kid around the same age as you. Not religious. She is now an 8 year old angel who is incredibly kind and caring to anyone she meets.
The world without religion or rather the fanatical elements of it would be a far better place.
The notion of sin ruins lives and it’s hugely flawed.
That's something I've heard my father say before as well. He left orthodoxy because he was shamed to answer the call to arms when my uncle did proudly to defend his religion. Anyway thank you for sharing your opinion.
It is not in my top 10 important things, but I am always curious to learn more about them. I am agnostic so it's not that I don't believe in a higher power, I just don't profess to know which is correct.
So what's your top ten list then?
¹My children
²My wife
³Helping others in need
⁴Learning new experiences to broaden my horizons
⁵Leaving this world in a better place for those around me
⁶Finding peace with my family
⁷Spreading laughter to make others smile
⁸To make an impact with my creative output in some way
⁹Finding a way to love myself the same way others love me.
¹⁰To help in my own way to find equality for women and the LGBT community.
Noice
I was born into Islam. Religion is a culture and habit that I was born into. I don't live like a Muslim, but I see it as a part of me because I was brought up that way. I believe in god that's all.
I don't like Arabs af!
@allthemagic What does this have to do with Arabs? Are you calling me Arab?
accept that ur arab
Now that is plain ignorance 😂
Why fucking Turks use this app huhh
@allthemagic Cut the bullshit. I’m a Turkish.
Get outta here 🦃
@allthemagic what interests you bitch.
Fuck you
fuck the Turks
Muslim bitches
@allthemagic I guess the Turks fucked you hahaha
Bye Bitch
@allthemagic You little bitch. Return to your trash.
@Smashingdoozy What do you think is ignorance?
What she is saying. Just report her replies and account
@Smashingdoozy Can't you see her comments?
Why turks are in this app, I heard that they developed it so they are on this app right fully 😂
@Aakash_Hangargi Yes, the founder of this site is a Turk. Tolga Tanrıseven.
@allthemagic this app was developed by Türk. Don't you know is own by a Türk company? And even if she was Arab, what's your problem?
@TurkishGirl_ I see what she is saying, I'm saying report her comments because they are offensive. Get her account removed.
I've already done it. Thanks.
@allthemagic Why you dont like arabs?
Certainly not, It's important to not be involved with any of them. I don't need someone to dictate my life and how I live it. So don't pick a religion, live as you believe people should, get inspiration from religion if you want, but don't follow either completely.
for me, the lack thereof is important in a partner. for frieds: you can only be friends with me, if you can take me poking fun at your religion. if you wanna poke fun at atheism, we'll get in a discussion that you will lose. i'm quite open about that and i don't mind "not being friends" with someone, who isn't ok with that.
of course i have humor when you make fun about fucked up stuff some atheists do. i am aware of that stuff, so no issue for me. i'm not saying that i can't take what i'm dishing out. it's just a bit like a flat earthler trying to debate an astronomy professor on the shape of the earth :D
Your first step should be to search God and make a relationship with God. You don't need to "select" a religion to search God.
Now, if you are sincere in that effort, you will do a lot of research and reading and comparitive study. That is when you decide what makes most sense to you.
İ think İ am a follower. İ don't exercise the prayers as well as İ should but I read the Quran and I don't like hypocrites.
İ have friends of different religion and we never fight about it.
They are welcome to exercise their religion and I follow mine.
İ am more upset about corruption in the world and society than about religion.
Enemy of a Muslim is mostly another muslim as İ have experienced it myself.
For the most part, religions are man-made concepts developed by a few people who wanted to control the thoughts and lives of the masses of naive, ignorant peasants way back when and still in use today for the same reason.
But if you think you'd feel better following some type of philosophy, try finding something classified as "Spiritual but not religious" which does not subscribe to major religious dogma.
Religion is for the gullible and weak of mind, for those who can't accept the fact that life has no ultimate meaning, and there is no life after death. I pity the fools.
Says the person with the hammer and sickle on their profile.
Yep, that's me! Long live Stalinism!
"Religion is the opiate of the masses" - Karl Marx
He killed off my family.
For being rich.
I don't believe that for one second.
He was a evil brown Georgian that didn't care about the Russian people and the protégé of that dirty Jew Lenin.
Ah, I see. You hate Jewish people. Well, in that case, I have NO sympathy for you or your family! Fascist pig!
Hitler barely killed the same nber of Jews as stalin killed ethnic Russians, he wasn't Russian himself.
I know he was from Georgia. So what? However, if you actually examine the statistics, there was no significant demographic change in the USSR during the 1930's. (i. e. there was no 'Holodomor'). It was during World War 2 when the Nazis invaded that many millions died.
Why not surrender to them? Why fight a war in which 25% of the population is severely vulnerable. Hitler did what he did for the love of his nation and people, Stalin was a sociopathic murderer. He destroyed Russian identity, religion and culture. What will military advancements do when your people have nothing to eat?
"Hitler did what he did for the love of his nation and people"
You truly are an absolute idiot! You wanted Hitler to win? Are that far gone mentally? What about all the people he persecuted and murdered simply because they weren't "pure" enough in his eyes? No sympathy for them?
What will these statistics do? Families were destroyed, imperial culture was razed to the ground. Freedom of speech was declined. The poor remained poor but the rich also became poor that's the only equality there was.
What about the bourgeoisie? Weren't they innocent.
"Imperial culture" - Like the Orthodox Church? Good riddance to bad rubbish I say! Who needs religion? It's delusion, that's what! The promise of eternal life in heaven if you obey the authorities and don't demand justice for all and a better life. Screw that!
Demolish all the churches, and execute all the priests! Priests are parasites, just like the rich, your precious "bourgeoisie".
Look, maybe we should just end this conversation right here and now. I get very emotional about certain things, things like this, and I absolutely loathe Nazis (as every decent person should).
Communists and socialists are more evil than Nazis ever were. You don't know how shitty life is in a communist nation because you're a privileged one that hasn't contributed anything to her nation and wants everything for free. A hypocrite.
Look, screw you! You don't know a damn thing about me, so how on Earth can you say I "haven't contributed"?
As for "the nation" - well, I don't give a stuff about my nation, tribe or whatever else you want to call it. Why should I? Nations just promote hate and division, war and misery. We would be better off without them.
It's the one that you pay tax to , are protected by and that's your identity. Without your identity byiur nothing. War is a way for advancement, hate is necessary and division is inevitable. If it wasn't for your nation you wouldn't have been alive, they provided you with education, healthcare and allowed you live on their land.
You did nothing and just said no hate all love.
Wow. You really are a complete and utter loon. Hate is "necessary"? FOR WHAT? Why should I give a flying f*** about "identity"? Isn't that what all you right-wingers complain about anyway, identity politics?
We don't need tribes. The time came a long time ago for the human race to become just one tribe, known simply as "the Earth". No nations, no cults, no religions. Why do you think the Middle East is in the complete mess that it's now in? Peaceful nations are secular and inclusive, not theocratic and dogmatic.
Nazis were far more evil, and more brutal than Communists who only did what they had to make Soviet Union a superpower.
It's true Stalin didn't care about his own people, but he did what he had to, and he was a fair man, unlike Hitler who betrayed, and invaded people, and countries, for his own benefit.
@anonymous
I love Stalin!
You are right in everything you say.
Quite important to you. I'm Christian and have been raised in the church so even if I didn't identify with it it would have still played a huge role in my beliefs and live experience.
I might not be the most religious person but I value my religion and beliefs quite a lot. I grew up in a religious household but as I got older, the pressures sorta dwindled down.
I did bounce back and forth between a few religions
Religion is complete bullshit to me. But to each their own. Peace.
Not at all important. Every religious person is sure theirs is the one true religion and all the others are wrong. When I was about 11 I realized that 1) they can't all be true and 2) it's extremely unlikely any are true.
I didn't used to. I was born and raised a Muslim but I stayed away from it for a lot of time. Recently, doing my own research and I'm going back to Islam again.
You need to take deeper breathes before asking questions. Don't be so excited over nothing.
Religion is the framework for the lives of many, but It's just "rules" for the uneducated.
It's important for me but mostly my Lord Jesus Christ is so much important for me and the Bible
Nope i like studying it but am an atheist couldn't give any less of a shit what people worship in the privacy of there own homes.
I believe Christianity is the one true religion. There are others that I am okay being around such as Jewish, Buddhist and a few others. Most notably not Islam.
I believe on God, but do not have much truck with all of the 'fan clubs' who insist they are the one true way.
Organised religions have cause too much strife, go your own way with it.
Just follow God with a pure heart n the rest will align
A belief in religion is important. I’m not into the joining some congregation. I’m good on my own. Religion, ingrains a good sense of Morality into everyone. I’m excluding the muslum cult.
100% important. I value the Bible a lot as I believe it's the inspired word of God.
Not at all. Issue is when somebody cares too much about it.
You don't need religion, you just need to be a good human being
I was raised catholic so it’s hard to imagine anything else
Are you Irish?
Religion, I've come to see, is for those who wish to be brainwashed.
Even though I'm not super religious but islam is definitely important to me actually at the top
None. I'm free. Mother earth is my religion if any. I do not need man created gods telling me how to live my life.
Christianity (Catholicism) is important to me.
Not important at all, I do like the proven history parts and some gathering traditions though.
Believe in god , that’s important
I am Muslim and Islam is most important thing in my life.
I'd choose not to because my father was injured when he was fighting in Srebrenica.
I do value my community and wouldn't want them to shame me as I'm part serb as well.
No, my parents are religious. I am not.
I mean, it's important for me to avoid it.
Christianity is super important it’s life
Not as important as sentence structure.
You have a nice sense of humour.
Only hitting on I do is when you are the end of my barrel.
Christians hunt, too.
It’s important that she is NOT religious.
No it’s not I’m an Atheist. Their just cults.
Nope not in the slightest.
No, It is not that important to me.
I'm a polytheist. I am anti organized prayer
Nope.. not at all
No it isn't
No (filler)
It is.
No...
I dislike religion.
