Why do some people think Heaven and Hell are fictional places?

Because I have no reason to to think they're non-fictional places. The default position to not to believe a claim. Theists have given me no good reason to do otherwise.

if you need to have this belief then do. a lot of people realise now that religion is all made up and it seems silly so they don't even care if there is heaven or hell. you know why religion was created right?
