Your point on faith being made redundant is one thing, it has also to do with God's nature. He is Holy. When the Bible says that no mortal can look upon God and live it's meant literally, God is too pure, holy and perfect to be gazed upon by anything with sin in it. Even if it's a tiny sliver of sin. This is part of the reason for Jesus. God is an eternal and just being and He could not allow sin to go unpunished, but if He allowed us, mankind, to suffer the penalty for our sins we would be no more, so what to do? He sacrificed His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, God made flesh, who could actually take the punishment in our place and be raised from the dead to quit us of the Law, which demanded works to be near to God, which we are told in the Old Testament, mankind as a whole always failed with. Now with Jesus, forgiveness reigns instead of condemnation, grace instead of judgement. Eternal life through Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life comes to anyone who believes in Him and follows His ways.

"Well it would be hard to find the true souls who had faith if he just busted in from the clouds said “ayo my peeps!” everyone would suddenly be kind, nice, obedient sin-free since they knew for sure there is an afterlife and their actions had consequences where before they were sinning assholes."
And that would be a bad thing, why? Faith is worthless. Theists only put the value they do on faith because they're told to. There is no reason an intelligent, caring god would not just reveal itself instead of playing games.
"Perhaps this is the test we are given."
Then it's a dumb test that rewards the gullible and punishes people for actually caring about whether or not what they believe is true. The people rewarded in this hypothetical are the people who lost the game by just going along with whatever they were told mindlessly.
"Perhaps there is no God and we truly are alone on this rock a product of billions of years of proteins mutating with no real purpose."
That's still true even with a god.
He did show himself in the Old Testament times but his voice was so loud, like thunder he scared everyone to death. He also showed his back to Moses but told Moses he couldn't see His face as the glory of God was more than a mortal could stand and that he would die if he did. Also God took human form as Jesus Christ and everyone hated Him because He spoke the truth, especially to the Pharisees and they crucified Him and rejected Him, even after all the good He did by healing people of blindness, leprosy, being crippled, and even raising the dead such as Lasarus. If you were treated like this would you want to show yourself to these people?
Well a lightning bolt did strike George Floyd in the face with a taller and more conductive metal light post near by. So if you believe lightning discharges from the sky and travels to ground by the easiest path, then Floyd being fried and sent to hell disobeys the general principles of physics… That said there are alternative theories on lightning strikes like converging force lines on a horizontal plane. Either way, at the end of the day they converged on George Floyd’s face... Someone does not approve...

3 reasons by what the Bible says:
1) the fragile human form can not handle looking at his glory and perfection, hence moses seeing HIS back and his hair turning gray.
2) God does not have to answer to you or me or anything or anyone HE does as HE pleases because when your PERFECRT and GOD over all things who do you really have to answer to.
3) It's rare to see the things that are good because Satan rules this world having said that God desires something deeper from all of us LOVE and to show HIM love you must believe in HIM e. g., BELIEVE WHAT HE SAYS in ur heart by faith not your eyes because the devil deceives many by what they are willing to look at. But God blesses all who will see with their hearts.Perhaps he's just really shy. He was a bad boy back in biblical times always sending floods, plagues n shit and now he's older and kind of embarrassed
Consider infrared, ultraviolet - why do you automatically assume, as many christians do, your understanding of subjective language to be largely definite, clear, and absolute clarity - being that, you can't see him, it's might not be because he doesn't show himself, but because you lack the capacity to perceive what might be right in front of your eyes?
Who said he doesn’t? There are those that can see and then there are the damned. Some are as much a part of god in thought, mind through natural innate spirituality, and feel the presence throughout life. Some have actually seen and experienced but of course would be sent to the funny farm in today’s society if they came out with it—exiled in left hell. Nope, the current world is encapsulated in evil and it belongs to evil, as this is only a bump in the cosmic road of spirituality.
EITHER
The deity doesn't exist
OR
They know their message has been twisted so many times they would have to work overtime to correct the bullshit
OR
They know no one would believe them & would be called a "witch" or "evil incarnated" because they can do "magic"
OR
THEY DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK
Take your pickBecause God is spirit. The Bible says so in the book of John. Also, God is light and perfect and in a sinless Heaven while this world is sinful. Also, God wants true believers and so doers of His Word rather than lip-service believers kind of like @CountessSarah said.
Because there is no god. Most of the apparitions ended when the population stopped eating rye often infected with ergot, which created lysergic hallucinations. Subsequently, all those who have set out to speak with divinities and similar divinities have proved themselves to be scammers.
Because god doesn't exist.
Or more specifically, because both creationism and omnipotence contradict themselves as concepts, so neither of those can exist.
If it didn't create everything, and isn't omnipotent, I'm not calling it a god.We, as humans, have to have a supreme being that gives us guidelines to live by. If you want to believe those guidelines come from divine power, then that's fine. If you feel you need a divine power that will punish you if you don't follow those guidelines, okay.
If you ever want to see god in the flesh, turn to the person near you. If you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me. That goes for animals as well. If you want to know what heaven is like, close your eyes and imagine it.1. If God were to show Himself physically, would we be able to look at Him? (Exodus 33:20) Would we even want to see Him?
2. People who say they want to know about God must listen to His Word; if they refuse to do that, then seeing Him physically is unlikely to impress them.Rather than trying to think of a reason why god hasn't shown up to the party, it would be better to come up with a reason why god - an imaginary character - would exist at all. So far nobody has been able to show a reason for that using reliable methodology.
@CreamySeed What you can't perceive does not make it not real. Could you even Comprehend the scale of God? Those Proteins have a purpose, to replicate, and to get better at replicating, that's how life works. If you can't grasp basic Biology, how could you begin to Fathom something like God?
How the fuck would an infinite being appear in a finite universe, kiddo?
It would be like trying to fit a 3D object in a 1D world. Why would you show yourself when a sizeable population of people need absolutely zero tangible evidence to believe you exist lol.
God shows himself everyday in the smile of a newborn child. Sure, the smile is probably the result of passing gas but so what? :)
Either he lost faith in humanity after he heard about this site or its the same reason Allah and Buddha don't show themselves either
We lost God when we made the first sin and eat that forbiden fruit and God stop us from seen the divine living like Angels and God.
And yes, is olso a test to get back to him.Because he doesn’t exist. My guess anyway.
The Bible describes god talking directly to a ton of people. And miracles happen in front of their eyes. But now when we all have video cameras in our pockets…that doesn’t happen. The picture shown is a depiction of Jesus Of Nazareth, not God, there is no description available for God.
He's really, really ugly, and insecure about it so he never shows his face. But he'll save a bible from a burning building while everyone else burns in agony, you know, a miracle.
