Is There An Afterlife?

There HAS to be, because I don't believe that we built up all these memories and consciousness, then suddenly we just cease to exist. It's like we were never there and those experiences never happened. So our existence seems pretty much pointless.

I guess being dead is like falling asleep and never waking up, but it makes no sense to me that we can be there one minute, and then the next we don't feel like we're there anymore. We've just disappeared. Nah. This is incomprehensible to me. There HAS to be some part of us that lives on after we die.

But I also find it hard to fathom that our souls can survive for billions of years, until the end of the universe. Maybe reincarnation exists. I don't know. But I'm convinced there HAS to be some afterlife, because all our memories and consciousness that we've built up can't just cease to exist.

I've seen enough shit in my life to say, yes there definitely is. I once had a freind with a heart condition who went in for surgery. During the surgery he went into cardiac arrest. Whilst this happened I was on the opposite side of the hospital on the phone with one of my employees who's wife had just given birth to thier first child. When my freind came out of surgery. He asked if my employee had a boy or a girl. I asked how he knew about that and he quoted me verbatim and the employee I was on the phone with. Said he was standing beside me and could hear the phone call. Later we correlated that the time of the call and the time of his cardiac arrest were at the same time. Thats some freaky yet interesting shit right there

I believe if we have subtle bodies and souls that move along with us, we have places that allow for time in the physical planes, and any time in between, or after, would constitute the afterlife. So, I'd say it includes both physical and subtle body options.

I really do not know for sure, but I'm hoping there isn't. One life here on Earth has been more than enough for me, and I don't want to continue to exist after it is over. When something comes to an end it should really END.

Ok. So let me bring up something. Do we know if there is an afterlife? No. Do we know what happened to us when we die? No. Do we know if one religion is correct while the other one is not? No. Unless someone comes back from the dead form like what 100 years and tells us we won’t know. All I am saying people, don't know what will happen when we die but stop being a toxic asshole because you have an opinion on what will happen because that someone has a different belief system or doesn't have one. Personal opinions are not facts. So stop being toxic or stop being around people.

I think so yes. I think we lose subjectivity and to back to being everyone and everything. Basically to being undifferentiated energy/consciousness. Most who come back from near death experiences talk a bit about this and there also seems to be a transitional period but you lose memory of who you used to be entirely.

I suspect after this sort of psyche wash you will reincarnate based on what you loved and connected with.

I like to imagine that death is just awakening. So when i'm hit by a truck and die. I wake up having had a nightmare about being another person who was hit by a truck. Then going back to my normal life.

Nothing really happend. It's all just dreams. Your dreams are flashbacks of your most recent reality, being replaced piece by piece until you have the one you're currently residing within.

That dream you had where you had a family and were ginger. Past reality. No longer the case, actually technically it never happend. This life you're living right now? Same. It never happend, you think it did, but it didn't. Never will.

Come from nothing, return to nothing and come out of nothing once more. Nothing was lost, nothing was gained.

It’s possible but when our brains die everything we are dies too so hopefully it is transferred to some higher plane. I somewhat doubt it but i am humble enough to say it’s possible
