No, I took the girls out for an early morning run.

We may do Lindisfarne (Holy Island) next week though.

I don’t go to church cause I believe I learn the bible faster when I study it alone because pastors talk too slow, repeat ideas, and always have a very surface and basic understanding of scripture and most waste time on stories to make themselves look more relatable.

  This is interesting because while I’m not currently in a church I can see the part where some pastors have a “surface and basic” understanding of scripture. I did, however, like my former pastor who retired in 2013 but for now I try reading daily. I’m currently in the book of Joshua, (not reading in any certain order), and after Joshua 10 I definitely looked up the “longest day”. Other cultures have writings of a similar event of “the sun not going down”. I could go on and on but yes... while not currently in church I’d like to eventually find one again.

  I can see your point and have witnessed the same. I do think though that there are many who have studied and have a great understanding. Maybe they’re tough to find as in today’s world it seems it’s about a “look” or a “feel” and less about God.

Church is on Wednesdays for choir and Sundays for sermon. But yes, I get up very early to dress my best and get there on time for both.
