How do you know if a spirit is trying to attach itself to you or posses you?

Before you comment about this being stupid or that it doesn't exist, I know people who have been possessed and my inner family have seen it happening to another family first handed. I don't want to talk to them about this, but I just need answers. If you are religious, may you please let me know signs? I'm not saying I'm possessed or something, but I am starting to question if something wants to inhabit my body or trying to attach itself to me. So please help me.

Spirits only attach to something they have an affinity with. Think of it like "magnets". Evil attracts evil, good attracts good to put it more bluntly.

Things like keeping yourself physically, mentally and spiritually clean, keeping away from bad and negative things and people will help. The reason being that being in bad company/places - even just passing through - leaves it's smells and stains upon you.

Doesn't make you of them immediately, but over time it does, if you keep at it.

One night, several years ago, a lying spirit kept harassing me and commanding me to murder my own family.

Of course, I would never do such a thing, but the lying spirit kept harassing me for about at least 5 hours non-stop, commanding me verbally from outside my own mind as a VOICE commanding me to murder my own family.

That's a DEMON, and it is very, very real, and no, commanding it to go away in the name of Jesus or any other god-man does not work.

I don't know how you know but i was raised catholic and there is Healing Mass that is consideres to help possesed to cast out spirits out of them. its like a "normal" mass, where bunch of people participates

That honestly depends on what is trying to possess you and how.

There is a way to know for sure. Do exactly as I say. Go to a doorway which is narrower than your outstretched arms. Such a doorway in a church or other consecrated building will yield better results.

Once there, what I want you to do is stand in the doorway and with each hand on the respective sides of the frame, press as hard as you can for 10 seconds. When you let go, if your arms naturally raise towards the ceiling, you are possessed by a demon! Your arms are being pulled upwards to heaven by the lord Jesus Christ whose power is stronger than the demon which is why they don't go down. Christ is winning the struggle now, but if you leave it too long the devil will sneakily take your soul as Christ will feel you've abandoned him.

First thing you need to do is to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. First thing is to acknowledge to God that you are a Sinner and incapable of doing the good that you desire to do.
—Ask to be forgiven of your sins. And tell Jesus that you want to know Him. After that process and the revelation of God is given to you.
then one should pray 🙏 scripture back to God. Start with Lord’s Prayer and just sit still and talk to God.
