You may also realize that a lot of doctors fuck up on procedures and diagnoses. You can't really believe all these people die from great doctors. You also have heard about a lot of miraculous recoveries when some putz doctor told them they only had 6 months to live. How do you know someone surviving had nothing to do with their prayers? In your instance why couldn't God have arranged for you two to be on the same road and at the same time? You should get props for stopping but you also could have just passed by. Still a thanks to you would have been in order and the woman did sound rude if she didn't.
