I'm a former cultist
I kept some of the cult ideologies but have given up on the main branch

Admittedly the cult I came from was a really sketchy cult that worshiped Anubis but also had no official name or at least kept a lot of things secret including the actual name of the cult

Also before you're even told the name of the god you worship you're given his teachings and then after you've reached a certain point where you're like "ah yes I now understand the ways of our God and wholy offer myself to my him"

I eventually left but again I kept a lot of the ideologies matter of fact the god I currently worship is also a god of death I believe in multiple gods but the one I worship is the god of death

I don't know much about the Islamic teachings I'm kind of interested in learning at some point though

that seems to be a broader social development that i am also observing currently. people have stopped using insults. like they don't call you asshole anymore. cause that seems more like an opinion. they rather give you a label like racist, homophobe, covidiot, nazi. whatever. and the meaning of those words don't really seem to matter to people. it seems like they're trying to make their insult seem less of "just their opinion" and more an "objective statement", which of course it isn't. but peoples feelings rarely care for facts. vice versa facts don't care for their feelings xD

But as far as I am concered, if a muslim changes his religion, punishment is killing. Once you are a muslim, you can't change your religion. If you were never muslim in the beginning, then there is no punishment for not being a muslim.
