Nothing is easier than self deceit…so how do you know your beliefs are true?

You don’t also atheism is also religious, the only true non religious person is agnostic,
you have to have faith to believe in god
you have to have faith to not believe in god
agnostic say I have no idea 🤷♂️ so we don’t put faith that there is a god or is not a god
When you boil it down atheism is a belief it’s the belief there is nothing, you put all your FAITH into believing God or shiva or Odin or Zeus is not real hell Ra could be real but you put your Faith into believing it’s not real the Tenets of atheism is our gods are not real.
So to get back to your own question how do you know your beliefs are true? How do you know there isn’t a god? Or gods? Or 1 goddess or many goddesses or a mixture of many gods and goddesses?
I know my belief is true. Because I am always questioning the existence of god, How many gods gourmet goddesses for a mixture. Therefore the only true non-belief is The agnostic. Because he is willing to say he doesn’t know therefore he doesn’t believe that there is a God and he does not believe that there is not a god Easembly says I don’t know if I’m not going to believe anything and I’m going to question everything
religion is an old hat. we have social justice now. believing and knowing are entirely different. you can't believe something and know it's true. because if you kow it is true, you can not believe it anymore. believe is a choice. knowledge is not. you can change believes. you can't change what you know. what you know can only be corrected. not just changed on a whim.

By putting them to the fire.
The best way to test one's beliefs is by making predictions with those and seeing how much that fucks you up.
You don't read the shit you post, don't check the methodology, at least, being very optimistic, 50% of all even peer reviewed papers are P hacking utter garbage.
Science doesn't come with unquestionable prophets, I quote literally bacon for you and you just fail at every point with fallacies, specially the red herring.
And then, after being utterly humiliated, you just disappear from a topic, which is fine.
I'm clearly talking about ones that were reviewed positively.
The publish or die mentality, the demand for graduates to create original work, incentivizes the board to pass shitty papers with shitty methodology. And I'm talking about STEM here.
Gosh, I can't even remember someone who had their shitty unsalvageable paper thrown outright instead of sent for review so the shit can be made to pass the sniff test.
Making graduates only peer review (which is fortunately a trend) is what produces the best environment.
Exemples of peer reviewed trash?
Almost anything on nutrition is one good example. Almost any "environmental map" (is that what you guys call in the us)
If you want specific examples of P-hacking trash, I could provide for you.
I'm trying to search for direct examples instead of studies showing it's a problem.
I’m seeing a thesis: Retired people who ate more whole eggs 7% higher risk to develop cardiovascular disease.
What I see from other science mags is they think it’s controversial:
jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2728487
Was, actually, and peer reviewed.
And this kinda of stuff was widely accepted as well, changing every six months to the other side.
We took so long to pick this that it became a meme in the 90's and 2000's.
And we trusted you guys to fix it, increase science education and all we got for that was MAPs.
Not the whole of it, that's literally the point, you write off what you can see as damaged.
What it means is what it has always meant, you can't just say it as gospel, you never could.
And what that inherent flaw means is what is happening, the general public and experts losing faith in any peer reviewed publication that doesn't adapt to be more trust worthy, more transparent and actually reliable.
And one big important change is in the incentive structure as I have previously detailed.
I don’t condemn it just because others are still researching it. From my brief scanning of science mags, no one is embracing that egg based thesis. But they are embracing the thesis that cholesterol in general should be maintained. That thesis was also research that had to go through peer review,
This is what your side does. Distorts scientific processes so you don’t have to worry about it with your beliefs. Sorry that god is immeasurable by science. But if that gives you pause, that’s on you.
But they did, that's the issue. Nowdays of course, after constant flip flopping, people caught up to it.
Now the "consensus" again enters a more complicated period, but there's a vague notion that as long as the essentials are covered, there isn't over feeding and there's enough proper exercise and good management of stress, then colesterol levels can be maintained at more or less adequate levels.
And specially, the consensus, even when it comes to colesterol is that it varies from case to case.
You distorts the scientific method because you don't know how that works, you think of science like a religion with unquestionable priests.
You think science as a religious political tool to bypass democracy and the constitution to install authoritarianism, we always understood the importance of any model to make accurate predictions.
But even with "the majority" meaning an actual thing (it never is), it's irrelevant to the merit in question, the rigor and replicability of an experiment, the rigor and predictable power of a model speaker louder than all "experts" in the universe.
Also, an expert is defined by what they do, when an expert fails it's no longer an expert, if it's an expert on a subject then it can demonstrate with an accurate reliable model and reliably replicable experiment and needs not the trust.
Yes, that's the issue, replicability and predictive power.
Which is the crises we have right now, an utter and complete failure on those two camps, all the fault of your guys.
And one of the big reasons why you gonna be gaddafied.
A beautiful mussolini fate, I promise I'll try not to enjoy it.
(let's be honest, I'll have so much on my mind that I won't be able to enjoy it, I'll have a lot of innocents to secure.)
A scientist is anyone who practice science, poorly or well.
Usually someone with a bachelors degree in a field.
Technically you don't even need a single peer reviewed paper, but we can adapt the definition to include someone who at least had one peer reviewed paper, if it pleases you, it won't change decades of the replicability crisis.
Which reinforces my point that you don't trust a scientist, you never need to trust a scientist, you only need to trust if it works and to the extent that it works.
Experience doesn't matter, only the results matter.
Whether you have experience, a college degree or not.
You've been essentially making a nebulous argument that the world should drive itself out of a cliff for 2 years because the experts on google maps and NASA told them to.
Someone literally making that argument on casual drive would be more justified.
Eventually you gonna have to face the fact that you never had truth as a goal and that it was obvious.
i go by logic. religion doesn't make sense. the way government is run doesn't either. if everyone was ethical, i'd like to see that world
That's politician bullshit, and there is good reason Demosthenes isn't well known for any good philosophy or policy.
He's better known for his cynicism and shitty Machiavellian projection.
Or like, say, the ideology you keep on pushing in the face of history? :-)
Marxism is reasonable? After all these years?
I believe my religion because I believe 100% the testimony of the Holy Spirit regarding God's word (Bible) and Jesus Christ as the messiah and the gospel message.
That simple. 😀
God through His Holy Spirit bears witness to the truth to the heart and conscience of a person.
"... so how do you know your beliefs are true?"
Through objective and unbiased observation
shut up atheist you are not smart
