How do you try to be a better/nicer person to show the lies told about yourself are incorrect?

I think when most people meet me and talk to me for a bit they quickly realize that my ex is full of shit and making up things about me to deflect people from finding out the truth about her.

Just be yourself and people will figure out if you are the problem or actually the victim in the situation.
