I think the founding fathers were deists not Christians for the most part. I do not think in truth America is founded under God, though I believe we should be. Salve Iesus Rex!
I think it was at first, but humans are too stupid to keep it that way. The American Way is no longer what it was meant to be, and will soon cease to exist.

The foundation of America and its morality was laid out in our Founding Documents. Our morality was that of a Godly Christian nation. Unfortunately, we are no longer anywhere near where we started.
no, it never was, in god we trust, and under god in the pledge, were added in the 1950s, under mccartheyism. our founding fathers were mostly agnostic or atheist, our country is based on basic human rights
Our constitution includes God and our money says in God we trust. People go there own way or say sail there own ship i say some times. That's what people do
America isn't even real. It's just a word. A sound muttered by humans. Just ask the animals what country they live in. They will tell you. NONE OF IT IS REAL! 🐿🐻🦃🦘🦡
No. If I’m not wrong, that motto was added in the 50’s. The original motto was a latin phrase that was something like ‘one out of the many’, referring to the US comprised of 13 colonies.
I do not know actually , but I believe in God , as well.

The constitution was definitely influenced by religious leaders. That’s not a question. It’s one of the reasons America is the most free countries in the world. However we have deviated a lot.
@SixFootSexy Yet, I DO exist! You're talking to me! You can watch videos of me, listen to records I've made and watch movies I've been involved it! Where is god, again? Nowhere to be found!! People starve, god doesn't do shit to help! People are about to die and pray for help, it never comes! People get diseases, god doesn't do shit to help! why did god even create those diseases? Someone's in a bad situation and needs help, where is god? Beating off behind a cloud somewhere? How many times will you trust a human to help you only to be let down every single time before you decide you can't rely on them, anymore? Yet, god gets a pass every time! I stopped believing in imaginary friends a VERY LONG time ago! Mostly, what happened was that I grew up! Mommy and daddy says so, so that MAKES it so! Religious nut mentality.
Have you read Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche?
The biggest problem is that if there is no God, all of the evil that exists in the world can't be classified as evil in the first place. All good cannot be classified either, since there is no objective standard to compare with. There is only matter, accidental carbon beings to be eaten by worms, nihilism and eventual universal heat death. That's why I refuse to be an atheist, angry at something or someone I don't believe exists.

The Founders created the USA on a religious foundation. We, unfortunately, have lost out way and we have paying for it for almost 80 years.
I should proofread better. OUR way have BEEN paying for it...
That's the way the country started. More recently, I'm not sure.
I once saw a sign in a store "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash"

I think "In God We Trust" implies that America strives for a higher level of morality.
Don't forget. The world has had its share of "godless despots". America's founder were hoping for better.
Lmao, America founded by a religion that originated in the Middle East. Love it.
I thought it was tobacco, slaves and armed revolt?
God seems like something of an afterthought to the whole undertaking.

How can you base something on something that doesn't exist?
I've never seen you, therefore you don't exist @FunkyMonkee. Atheist mentality.

@SixFootSexy Nope. Never heard of it. Does it have any dirty pictures in it?
Well, that's pretty dumb reasoning.
I think God is in there someplace but America was founded on Freedom.
I would say yes if the opinion about the Lord wouldn't be so... divided.
The foundation of our country is "whats yours is now mine".
Nope, it was slavery and murder of indigenous people.
He is mentioned like one million times in our documents and on our currency. Liberals are trying to change that.
