Why do religious people care when somebody attacked to the religioun?

There are probably a number of factors, but here are two I could think of:

1. The human instinct for camaraderie/tribalism is a main reason people become religious the first place. This isn't necissarily a bad thing but it is pre civilization all the same. In any case it establishes a physical defense network, at least in theory, where everyone assumes everyone else will stand up for them if they are in real danger. It doesn't matter if no one has any such intention because they are each in it to be protected not protect - so long as it is never tested everyone can believe it to be true, including would-be assailants, which acts as a deterrent thus making it less likely to be tested. On the timeline of the evolution of the human mind, my guess is this faith in each other is what provided many stepping stones that allowed for faith in gods. But this furious reaction to one of their own being attracted, despite usually no one leaping to their defense in the first place, is to maintain the illusion that they stand up for each other.

2. The belief that a god will protect them is covering for a massive amount of otherwise unchecked insecurity. Everyone, without exception, is almost completely powerless in this world. And everyone, without exception, needs to figure out what to do about knowing they are powerless. Focusing on the power they do have and using it to achieve a balance with the world or using our uniquie intelligence to guide it for the better is perhaps the healthiest long term option but it is only one way of coping with powerlessness. Increasing your own power by manipulating others into giving you theirs or amassing guns is another way and is usually a lot faster. And denying that you are powerless is a third way that works if you can get yourself to earnestly believe it, and that's where religion comes in. If you have faith that some all powerful magic man in the sky has your back, then you are not powerless. But while This last one is the absolute fastest, it is perhaps the worst one in regards to coping, because all it takes is someone to come along and demomstrate your powerlessness and everyone will freak out that the magic didn't work as promised. Such people tend to gain an urgent need to cover that freshly exposed and very raw insecurity again and so take the faster option of quickly amassing power with guns and soldiers - even if they don't actually have an army, talking aggressively is how people with armies talk, or so is the perception, so they default to that so they can believe they have one.

It's all kind of sad, really. There is nothing we can do about it so, like children with terminal cancer, we fill our own heads with distraction and wishes to keep ourselves from disappointing others, but not a single thing we think do or say, however heartfelt or encouraging, has any impact on the reality of the situation. Fat tall children with nice clothes so our terror and anger isn't mistaken for a tantrum. That's all we are.

Its human ego that feels attacked, when you work out ego stuff then you dont get bothered as much and dont feel the steong need to defend it.
Its easier to let people be and do their thing, its what God does, he lets us play our little dramas and learn for ourselves. I love it, dont you?

The same reason you will punish someone who attacks your family and friends. After all, they are their own people and can look after themselves.

But it is your love and respect (if you have any) that drives one to protect that which they hold dear. It is simply human nature.

Those who don't, are just human in shape, not in mind.

Since religion is about God, why not let that God punish if you believe in that God

Your mistake is thinking "religion" is a monolith and unchanging, kiddo. Religion isn't just about God, it's about community, faith, respect, laws, and social cohesion. It's why atheists covet it, and agnostics try to come to terms with it. Religions are dynamic and vibrant in some communities and people. But they are ultimately, about people who make their day to day work.

You cannot have an understanding of God, until you have an understanding of a religion and it's cultures, peoples and traditions. It's like asking someone who knows nothing about America to come to a certain street, in an American city and make an assessment on the whole of America.

It's upsetting for two reasons: it raises doubt, and it feels like a personal criticism. They pretend that they are completely sure of their faith, but is anyone really that certain?

because they feel their believe attacked. and their believe is vital to their life, so they feel their life is being attacked.
