Why do people take offense over their god but not over their people?

Recently some Indian politician said some derogatory comments about prophet Mohammad and everyone lost their shit. Terrorist organisations openly threatening attacks in India. All the Muslim countries demanding apologies. But when china is openly committing genocide of muslims there, none of the Muslim countries do anything. Don't even condemn it. Even in other countries nobody cares when people are suffering but when they insult their god people get beheaded etc.

Um, he IS concentrating on real life- he asked a legitimate, if harsh, question, which wasn'n about cheating, Instagram, or penis size, and you're shutting him down... why, exactly? If, as the fundies say, a drawing of Mohammed can earn you a death sentence begause ef the insult to Islam it carries, why would genociding Muslims not carry any penalty at all? Indian politicians are often hilarious as they are corrupt to the core and deflect constantly. What put that politician into the limelight was his attempt to the "trump" tactic and he got it wrong both ways.

As for the Uyghur, there isn't much happening there that anyone can deal with in certainty.

That... is a very good question. Here in the US, Chinese human rights abuses are ignored because of laziness and greed, but most of the Islamic world doesn't have those excuses (well, not ho same degree; they have greedy and lazy people too, of course).
