Why do people get so offended when you call out their sins?

One user asked for an opinion regarding buttplugs. When I gave my honest and christian opinion. I was just accused of not reading the right bible because I said, using buttplugs is a sin. I would understand if an atheist homosexual found it offensive to their beliefs. But to people who claim to be christian, it shouldn't be.
My intention was not to offend the asker but just to point out that if someone uses butt plugs and doesn't repent and change their ways. They won't be able to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Whenever I do something wrong I like for people to point it out so I can better myself.

Anyways here are the bible passages for any Christians who want to partake in or condone sodomy.

Some 'Christian' people become so obsessed with the church, showing up to all these events, memorizing verses, tattooing them and only living by certain ones etc., that they end up making excuses for themselves as you said... and they forget Christ, becoming too focused on the scriptures that they even omit the existence of certain ones..
That being said, you could say pre-marital sex is sexual immorality too right? God has grace...

I agree.. unfortunately there are some people who start to lead double lives in the Christian faith. In my opinion, some people who can't connect themselves to their actions, so they maintain a "religious side" and then one that engages in sin regularly but feels comfortable enough that "they go to church every Sunday" so they don't need to repent.

I think this mentality is more common than not, unfortunately... some people do use the church to feel better about themselves, so they can comfort themselves with that when they sin, rather than repenting...
I think generally, humans hate admitting we're wrong, and we hate feeling shame... but yes, one should try to make things right..💕

it's not easy being dedicated or faithful all the time. We make mistakes. The best thing about Christianity is forgiveness. If church goers were more forgiving maybe people would be more willing at acknowledge their sins

First, the problem being that sodom and Gamorrah was about the general evil nature of the people and inhospitality, not homosexuality.

Second, the word used in the New Testament is Arsenokoites, which actually translates to “rapist,” not homosexual.

Third, there are sexually sensitive nerves in the male anus and prostate, so if god put them there it must have been for a reason. This links to the fact that not all men that have used anal toys or stimulation are gay.

Fourth, not one place in the Bible does the concept of a butt plug appear.

The anus is meant to expel waste. So shoving things in there is contrary to natural function

The bible does have several passages regarding perverted sexual behavior.

God did not invent everything he created earth and the people in it and gave us free will and the ability to create for ourselves. It's up to us to create beautiful things and do things the right way or suffer ❤

Homosexuality is a dysfunction caused by developmental issues, poor parenting or sexual abuse.
But homosexuality is a sin.

Also even if someone is gay it doesn't mean they have to commit sodomy. They can just abstain.

The key word here is "Practice" if someone practices sodomy. They are not born again and are unrepentant. They will not be saved.

There are tons of other passages for the unrepentant. If someone was truly born again. they would not practice sin! especially one as heinous as sodomy.
