It hits all, but most heavily the most popular version, KJV.

Even gave us several clues by which we could identify him. Even so, mainstream Christianity follows the word of Paul as if it were spoken by Christ Himself, despite the fact that he displays everything Christ warned us about.

As far as profits, Christ said Our Father doesn't demand sacrifice, only obedience. Paul was the one who instated the "donation to the saints" in his letters to the Church of Corinth.

@Jamie05rhs well, if we start from before Christ, there's the prophesy of the worthless shepherd in Zechariah 11. It's actually less a prophesy and more a promise, but it says that there will be a shepherd sent after Christ who is worthless, and that his arm and right eye will be damaged. Galatians 4:15 alludes to his eye, and Galatians 6:11 references his hand.

You have the warning to watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and Saducees, and that of Herod, in Mark 8:15. Paul was a Pharisee and also a Roman citizen.

John 8:34 says a slave of sin does not remain in the household forever. Therefore if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. Paul details his inability to stop himself from sinning in Romans 7, starting around :14. If Paul had really been saved by Christ on the road to Damascus, he would have been free, not a slave to sin.

That's just for starters. There's a lot more. But the main question that people should ask themselves is "if Christ said there would be a false shepherd to come after He was gone, why would I follow anyone other than Him?"

These are all easily explainable. In the first one about the nursing fathers, it is speaking in allegory. It is not proposing fathers are able to nurse. What it’s saying in the vernacular of the time is: The kings and queens will be your caretakers. It’s using the symbolism of a mother in how she cares for and nurtures her child and applying the same loving and attentive care to the kings and queens mentioned.


I’m going to respond to all of these below as I forgot the order of the scriptures you mentioned.

The next one again is in the English vernacular in use at the time. This scripture in Deuteronomy is condemning transgenderism. It’s not talking about a wound in the sense of an accident or war wound for example. It means whoever cuts their parts of intentionally with the intention of trying to be more like a woman.

Again, the English in use at the time and how it was used must be referred to, not how we use these words today.

This is the way English was spoken over 400 years ago. If you were to read English from the Middle Ages you’d literally not be able to understand it. Beowulf for example was written in English. Try to read it in its original text.

You’re being way too literal here. This is simply a matter of how English used to be spoken. It’s partially why we have so many different Bible translations. Because modern English speakers typically require a dumbed down version of English for the sake of readability.

As for me, I prefer the KJV mainly because I find it easier to read and comprehend the greater meaning than some simplified way of printing English.

In regards to spelling, again, language changes. Words used to be spelled multiple ways because there was no standardized way of spelling.

For example, the sur name smith, or Smyth both the same name, spelled differently for the reason I just stated.

This happens with another name, John. In regards to John the Baptist he is referred to Iohennes. That’s Latin for John. At the of the events of the Bible, the letter “J” did not exist. Jesus was spelled Iesvs. The letter “U” also did not exist. I’m learning to Speak Latin so I know this for fact.

The same is true of the name Jeremiah. That is Hebrew. Jeremie is the French version of the name and Jeremy the English version of the name.

I will not continue this conversation. It’s not that I have issue with your opinion here, it’s frankly that this is silly. It’s simply a matter of how English used to be spoken. That’s all there is to it.

Actually the Bible is meant to be interpreted literally. Just one needs to understand where a parable is being told, where there is hyperbole, where there are cultural differences, where there is allegory, and where difference in language take place.

You mention the KJV version being the most popular. It actually isn’t. I don’t know anyone besides myself who prefers it because English speakers almost can’t understand English spoken in that way anymore. Certainly people whose second language is English will find it almost impossible to understand it.
