Yeah symbolism meant a lot more back then than it does now.

The world was actually a lot more integrated and expansive back then than many people like to admit today.

Mainly as it makes people today look "less advanced and progressive" than previous civilisations.

Zoroastrianism was of Persian beginnings, and grew into a cult of fire worship. But the Persians had links in the silk road to China for centuries.

But Sumerians and the Chinese were probably not communicating. But there is no hard and fast evidence. The symbolism you're showing does hint at it, but it's not conclusive proof.
