Has God ever promised you a blessing or healing?

I had a dream that God would take my average brain and turn me into a mega genius, so smart, I could have any guy I wanted, if I obeyed his teachings for 3-4 years. I also dreamed I would go to Harvard if I stopped holding grudges against people who were mean to me.

There are many scripture that promise healing from many things. I have had Diabetic foot lesions healed through faith when medical science failed. Persistent infection healed through simple means when antibiotics failed. A young Korean girl washed my wounded feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. I have photographs of the healing that took place over a 2 week period of time. The lesions reducing in size to becoming small and finally covered with callous. When I was separated from employment in 2009 , I wanted everyone who was involved in the decision to throw my career under the bus, to suffer the same fate. If I had to lose everything and go through a bankruptcy and watch my wife's retirement hopes go down the tubes, then they could too. As a type one diabetic re-employment was hopeless. 300 resumes' and cover letters with one possible which was later cancelled. I developed a dark personality. I could not get over what had happened. Then I had a cardiac episode which sent me to Boston for a triple bypass. When all the nuts and bolts were tightened and they hit me with the defibrillator, nothing happened. No pulse and no respiration, I was dosed and zapped again , nothing. They were preparing for a third and final try when my pulse started on it's own. I woke up in my hospital bed, with the chaplain standing by my side. I had been pulseless for almost a full minute. I will not tell you that all was forgiven because that would be a lie. But it did not seem to matter as much. I could remember a conversation that occured while I was away. I asked my Pastor if any one had access to my spirit other than God. He could not answer. I remember asking why I had lost my job and had to go through all the financial trouble and banruptcy? You cannot serve two masters is what I heard. The jist of the communication was for me to stop trying to be perfect because I could never be. Enjoy your life. Re-read the Book of Genesis, and interpret it on your own. Nobody has gotten it right yet.

This is an auspicious dream, but remember the truth about dreams: They are YOURSELF speaking to yourself. Everyone and everything in the dream is you and is about you.

It would seem your hopes are that you could go to Harvard, for some reason. You seem to be hoping that you can change your brain and your heart because you've been holding onto grudges that are destroying your life.

Maybe you should explore whether you can pass the entrance exams to Harvard as an older student. Life experience counts. Also, holding grudges only damages YOU. Forget assholes who've hurt you. In many cases these people didn't intend to hurt you and have no idea you were ever hurt by them. You aren't even on their radar.

Or perhaps a certain person DID intend to hurt you. So what? That ship has sailed. Move on so YOUR life will be happy. Why waste your time being angry with them? It's pointless.

If you WANT to devote yourself to God for three or four years by joining some religious group, you can certainly do this. But don't do it for a "payoff." Do it because you genuinely feel this is important for your spiritual development.

No amount of being dedicated to God or religion makes you smarter. Might make you happier and that frees you from anxiety that might be holding you back.

I don’t think God just gives you things. Even if you promised to stop holding grudges.

I thinks it’s important to also start doing things to prepare yourself and do something different everyday to enhance your brain.. it shows God consistency and discipline. He rewards that the most and then he will give you that or something better.. or you may learn that it’s not the most important thing. You never know.. but you still have to put in the work on top of having faith. Prepare for what he gives you.

Say he just gives you a smart brain.. but a lot of smart people drop out for lack of discipline or lack of preparation.. so be ready 🫡

Normally, the smarter you are, the more people keep you away. If you think that becoming a genius makes you appreciable to the opposite sex, well, you are off track.

Also, if you think God trades with you and you live your faith as a do ut des relationship, well maybe you don't know the Christian you say you are.
