You see that Christians believe that those who hate them for their beliefs. Only confirm them.
There is a saying. "If Devil ignores you. You are doing something wrong but if you doing something right. You become his target."

Whatever. You go ahead and believe whatever you want, as long as you're not hurting anybody or trying to shove it down everyone else's throat! The difference is, I state my opinions and your type consider me to be evil, but you not only state yours but constantly try to convert people that just DON''T want to hear that shit and we're supposed to just LET you spew and, in the end, we're STILL evil, in your eyes? I'm SURE that's what your man-made god wants!
By the way, when is god gonna see to it that all those starving Ethiopians get some food? He's omnipotent and, supposedly, created everything in the universe in the blink of an eye but can't make food appear on the tables of those who are starving and still believe in him.
The problem is no one hates Christians for their beliefs. Rather, people get real irritated with Christians when they try tell others what to do. It doesn't matter if Christians "believe" they should be allowed to tell others what to do - non christians didn't agree. For Christians to act like they are the victim for not being allowed to tell others what to do is just childish. And absolutely no one likes childish adults.
Also, not that it matters to modern Christians, but telling others what to do is in no way Christ-like. If you're not leading by example instead of just telling people what to do, then you are the sort of person Jesus made mad enough to want to nail him to a cross.
"Christians when they try tell others what to do" yes like how Christians walk into gay cake shops and demand cakes made that say "gays are evil" smh
"telling others what to do is in no way Christ-like" have you even read the Bible? Jesus told a lot of people what they should do. Maybe you missed that part when your atheist friend online summed it up for you.
At no point did Jesus try to pass his advice into law. Nor did he demand anyone be hated or refused service for not following his advice. I'm sorry you believe you should be allowed to tell others what to do and that you're the victim if they don't listen, but that's just not the way things work in real life 🤷
There are bad apples in every barrel or bucket or basket. Islam still has slaves and they'll kill gays more than Christians. In China, if you get caught having a piece of the Bible. You will be killed.
I understand. But by pointing such things out it only underscores the fact that you know damn good and well that it's the wrong direction. You can't point to progress you have resisted every step of the way as the reason why you and yours is better than those who were able to put down attempts at progress. You would have put them down, too, if you were able. Indeed, I'm not even convinced that you wouldn't still put them down today if given the power to do so.
"Nor did he demand anyone be hated or refused service"
1. Not sure you understand the role Jesus plays for Christians. It's not my job to only do anything exactly like Jesus did.
2. Refusing service and being forced to, is other people forcing me to do something. Atheists do too many drugs I think sometimes. How is forcing a baker to bake a cake forcing Christianity on anyone? So you would be fine with Christians forcing gay bakeries to bake cakes that say "gays are evil?
No one forced them to open a bakery, lol. By entering into the business community you agree to be civilized. Denying people service because of their sexuality is not civilized. Nor is hate speech, by the way, which calling someone evil certianly is.
That said, I don't really know enough about the case to make a judgment either way. And, as it happens, neither do you 🤷
Please define what civilized means to you. I didn't see this definition listed in the dictionary, nor did I see civilized used under the definition of business. Sounds like you have a very unique view of these issues.
Also I'm not sure what country you're in but hate speech is legally protected where I live. Maybe it's unique to your culture?
Well society around here accepts it so I'm ok with it.
But why do I care what people outside my area think? That's their problem. Hate speech is free speech and often good speech.
I don't care if it confirms their little persecution complexes. They've massacred, raped, enslaved, tortured and demonized everyone else for centuries. If me mocking them hurts their feelings so bad, tough shit

That sounds like populist, victimisation bullshit.
Christians have done more wrong than right in their history. Mainly as Jesus wasn't Christian and neither were his half brothers.
What classes as "Christian" varies from group to group.
Because they don't have the Holy Spirit in them.
That doesn't "prove" anything. If having opposition means that you're right, then logically murderers and child molesters are right. Heck, "anti-Christians" face opposition from Christians in their efforts; does that mean THEY are right?
I don’t think that’s a good argument. I can just flip it around and say y’all being anti islam or anti hindu is confirming that they’re doing the right thing. Like someone being arrested for a crime could make that same argument.
Sounds like childs argument covering their ears yelling I can't HEAR YOU !
