What do angel numbers mean?

I’m seeing a lot of 1s 2s and 3s lately almost seems like everytime I check the time it’s 11:11 or 3:33 and I’m seeing a lot of 2s mixed in with that for example I got a message today a package was being delivered between 12:20 and 2:20 and the other day I did some shopping and the total was 20.22 sometimes I’ll check the time and it’s 3:32. A lot of 11:11 I’m seeing that everyday some times multiple times a day at this point but just wondering why I’d be getting angel numbers so frequently and what they mean.

I'm going to be the unpleasant skeptic: they're probably random.

People are really good at finding patterns in things. So good, in fact, that we often see patterns that aren't even there. We even have a name for this: apophenia, the tendency to see patterns in random data.

There's a type of apophenia called pareidolia that you probably experience every day. This is our tendency to see patterns in things we see or hear. Maybe that cloud looks like a rabbit, or that cracked plaster looks like a soaring eagle with a gimpy wing, or that bird call sounds like the first few notes of Beethoven's 5th symphony. A very common example of this is seeing faces. You might see faces in tree branches, the fibers of a towel, the pattern on the back of a bug, the craters of the Moon... or on your toast! If you look hard enough, you can find faces anywhere.

We do the same thing with numbers. This is basically the entire study of numerology, and it's "evidence" of countless conspiracy theories. People find significance in the time/date of an event, the size/weight of an object, the number of people involved, the number of victims, the street address... etc. etc. etc.

Consider this: everything is a coincidence. Things are happening all the time, so anything that happens is going to happen at the same time as something else. Most of these aren't special at all, but we look for ones we think are and we ignore and quickly forget things we don't.

How many times have you walked under a streetlight and seen it flicker? Spooky, right? How many times have you walked under a streetlight and not seen it flicker? Probably a lot more, but... that's not as surprising, so you don't think about it. If you rolled six dice, what would you be more surprised by: a 123456, or a 241364? The second has the exact same probability of happening as the first one, but... it doesn't seem as significant.

Also consider that God, angels, spirits... they're pretty smart, right? Smart enough to talk to you in a way you are sure to understand, not one you might understand, or one you might not even notice.

But I can't tell you for sure that your experience isn't significant. So... how can you tell?

Approach it like a scientist. Scientists also look for patterns, but they make specific predictions. If A is true then Z will happen; if Z does not happen, then A is not true. But B also causes Z, so you need to predict other things B causes that A doesn't. C also causes Z, but only if D is true. E causes Z, but also stops X and Y from happening... etc. etc. etc.

So... next time you look at the clock, what do you expect to see? What would you expect to see if you're wrong? Does it happen every time, or just some of the time?

This is known as apophenia. Humans have an ability to recognize patterns. It's used for memory and learning. What is happening with you, is you're erroneously recognizing patterns which have no significance. Times like 3:33 will appear on a digital clock twice a day and a delivery estimate between 12:20 and 2:20 is merely a window of 2 hours. There is nothing special about any of this. "Angel numbers" are a superstition and not part of actual reality.

This is all nothing but a kind of neuroticism.

Angel numbers are repeating number sequences, often used as a guide for deeper spiritual exploration. These sequences can range from 000 to 999, and each has its own distinct meaning and energy. Most of what I see is that they bring confirmation and empowerment. Plus I believe that an angel is with me, like my daughter for example

I've been seeing them a lot for the last couple of months (11:11,12:12, 16:16, 21:21), but I don't believe in stuff like that. I think it's just that our brain fixates on certain numbers and recognizes patterns.
