I think that it stands where it does respectfully in the light of history and literature, as well as morals, and what it means for the people that got where they were because of certain aspects of it.

In these lights, it shouldn’t be so heavily mocked and disrespected. Santa and unicorns are unreal. Witchcraft is unreal. Greek God’s and goddesses are unreal, yet no one makes fun of them…

so leave this one be as the rest of them.

It may not be accurate, but this question and those comics took it way out of context.

Those we’re scriptures from before Christ- it was how the Judean God interacted with SIN alone- not people.

You see how he interacted with Adam and Eve before their downfall- they were to have dominion over land and companionship.

You see how he spirals back to compassion and how he treats people after Christ’s birth and great and ultimate crucifixion/ sacrifice.

God then became somewhat tolerant of the people blemished by sin. IF they believed and declared Jesus as the true son of God and asked for forgiveness for choosing sin- aka immoral ways, and he would forgive them, and wash away the sin from their lives.

The Holy Spirit was the third component and member to empower those who chose Jesus and Unconditional/ Ultimate love, so they would never love immorally ever again.

The thing is many christians have never accessed the Holy Spirit, and the baptism described to live an empowered life.

The Bible also states that love is greater than faith in that popular verse in 2 Corinthians about three things lasting forever Faith hope and love and the greatest being love.

True is this because Jesus came down in love to forgive. Even if the Holy Spirit came first and empowered us he would have never been able to help us receive forgiveness from God’s wrath to SIN not people.

Jesus is mentioned and described himself as the way the truth and life- the way to the father. His blood innocent and he the only son of God.

Love sent him and compelled him. Love is what compelled God to plan for the redemption of mankind and their mistakes.

People don’t actually get this stuff about Christianity and even the Jews do not acknowledge Jesus as the son of God and then being one, but say he is merely a prophet.

The Jews were the ones to also wish for the crucifixion of Jesus and the release of a robber named barabbas/ barabas.

The way we know Christianity and satan is unreal or have HINT of that is because there is no evidence of power.

All we see is the free will of mankind on earth but no movement of Satan and no movement of god.

Its just people going back and forth and creating and destroying things, as usual..

It is funny how all those verses are from the OLD Testament.
Things were different in the Old Testament.

Now, if you read the New Testament, you will notice that Jesus forgave a lot of sinful people (for example, Saul, who then became Paul…he was practically a murderer). He died for all of us, in order for our sins to be forgiven, that is if you believe in him, and ask for forgiveness. 😊

These pictures don't accurate depict the messages they're mocking. Taking ancient literature, and looking at it face first without any cultural, linguistic, or historical context is a fools errand. My best recommendation to study these texts is through the historical critical method. There are some notable questions about the authenticity in the New Testament. For example, we have the synoptic issue concerning the four canonical gospels. The epistles from Paul and the issue of pseudepigraphy. I've studied in depth scholarly arguments concerning the legitimacy of these ancient documents. I'm a Christian, and truthfully have some doubts consistently come to mind. Making a decision that there is no higher authority than us based on memes with no context is a asinine move though. Imagine if this is real, and you rejected it based on ignorance? It's at least worth looking into from an intellectual perspective.

Oh, I loved it.  This is the 3rd Edition. I may have gotten the 3rd Edition - it looks familiar, but I got my Mac in January 1990, so I might have gotten the 2nd Edition. I still have it somewhere...

I believe that despite it's many scientific inaccuracies & biased narratives, it can benefit people if they use it to improve themselves & don't start worshipping the words inside of it in a dogmatic manner. People need to still remain critical & open minded. It needs to be seen as a tool, not a magic wand or panacea.

The Bible has some interest history in it, it's backstory and some of it's books can be interesting to learn about, and the Bible does have some words of wisdom.
