Do you believe dreams are prophetic predictions about the future?

I had a dream saying if I obeyed the Bible for 4 years, I would get a genius IQ and if I stopped holding grudges against people, I would go to Harvard.

Dreams are both prophetic and subconscious. Your subconscious can prophecy things to you that you already know deep deep down, but have not consciously learned in this life.

As far as your dream, I'm not sure if the Harvard part is prophetic or merely a subconscious projection of what you want. The part about the Bible is true for anyone because it has so many good ways to live and habits to live by. My advice is to just create habits that are good for you and integrate each habit one at a time over the next few years. You can use the Bible for inspiration as to which habits are best or you can just start with habits you already want to start. Such as the one you mentioned, not holding grudges & forgiving.

Dreams shows you what your subconscious believes to be most important for you.

That's their purpose, to reinterpret your experiences and figure out what's most important. Not at the logical, but at the emotional level.

Hence what appears in dreams is not literal. If it appears certain person is not about the person, but more about what person symbolizes to you emotionally.

As rule of thumbs any person, scene or thing that appears in your dream is about your own person.

Medically speaking, many dreams are the result of your brain saving events to your long-term memory. These events from up to a few days prior must have a certain relevance in your life, otherwise they would have been discarded. So they reflect much more the past than the future.
