Can people tell when your going through something or when your sad deep inside?

Some people can, if they are paying attention and they care. Most of the time, though, people don't look that close, especially if they notice one is sad, down, depressed or otherwise likely to actually need some help or attention or listening to. That's been my experience, in any event.

Any adversity or condition that comes up often weeds out the 'sunshine friends' from the real ones who listen, help, and go out of their way to hold the umbrella over one's head while the storms of life rain down on one.

In short, yes, if they care enough to look, and the depressed, sad, or down person lets them see.

Apparently not! I'm going through one right now and almost nobody knows about it!
18 years ago, I was going through a really rough time and would've LOVED to have SOMEONE to talk it over with but, even though I was VERY sad, did a lot of crying and moping around, almost NOBODY gave enough of a shit to ask what was going on, or possibly even noticed!

it depends on if you decide to show it or not. if you try to hide the fact that you're sad, most people won't notice, but if someone know you well enough they will notice and should / would probably ask if you're okay.

Yeah people who I'm close to can.. like my family members.. Friends can't because I am so shallow and fake that they would never know LOL

There is no general answer to that. Some people seem to be sad but really aren't

Some people seem happy but are actually very sad and unlucky. And some people seem to be as happy/sad as they look like.

And then there are those people you can't even tell if they look sad or happy

I think so, My brother and sister in law just saying i am looking dull and wanted me to stay for a while.

Thing is i am so down lately about my age and how i didn't accomplish anything neither in career and never in relationships
