Are Jewish people and Christians too different to date each other?

I had a chat to a Jewish man on a dating site. I’m a Christian. Neither of us are orthodox but our values, interests, the way we regard gender roles and our whole approach to life seems different. Maybe too different. Is that the case?

Is that someone you could see yourself living happily together with for decades? I’m not saying they are bad or one is right or one wrong, but you seem to sense that the differences may be too great. You’re probably right.

Christians and Jews are on the same side when it comes to fighting terror, so when it comes to friendship there is no problem, dating is more difficult, if none is want to convert.

Values among both Jews and Christians vary widely. What you encountered was that he as an individual had different values than you do as an individual.

Not at all. I used to know a married couple with kids where he is Jewish and she is Christian. They compromised and celebrate both religions.
