I had SOOOOO much fun. That has always been my primary motivation. The opportunity to enjoy the wonders of life to the fullest is the greatest gift.
But over the past 20+ years, this country has been descending deeper and deeper into dystopia.
I'm still enjoying life. I'm fortunate in that regard. But I'm glad to be the age that I am now because I don't want to be around when the totalitarians finally achieve their goal of making life a drab nightmare for common folk, 100x worse than communist East Germany under the Soviets. "Eat bugs." "You'll own nothing and be happy."This, like The Matrix, is what people today think is reality. But it's a digital reality. Total control.

I know it can all be over with a stroke or a cancer diagnosis and wish I could spend some time doing some of the things I always wanted to do while I am still young enough to enjoy it
