This was supposed to be light hearted. We know Hebrew and Aramaic doesn't translate well into English.

I believe that chapter is about confidence in faith. Then verse 34 alien is not extraterrestrials but strangers. Take a look at Ezekiel 1:4-28 his eye witness descriptions that could be a space ship. Tell me what you think 😊

They were Cherubim. The cherubim have four faces—that of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle—four feet like a calf, and four wings. In contrast, living creatures have one face and six wings (Rev 4:7-8). Ezekiel 1:10-11 describes the cherubim:

Their faces had this appearance: Each of the four had the face of a man, with the face of a lion on the right, the face of an ox on the left and also the face of an eagle. Their wings were spread out above them; each had two wings touching the wings of one of the other beings on either side and two wings covering their bodies.

"Alien" just means foreigner. Ex. Mexican immigrants are often called "illegal aliens".

Yes. Alien simply means a being that isn't origin from a particular location.

Yeah. You gotta keep in mind the Bible is translated from Hebrew or Greek.

One, some words don't translate perfectly. Two, there's a certain amount of discretion required by whoever did the translating.

The King James says aliens.
The NIV says foreign armies.
Unfortunately there is no perfect translation. All translations were done by humans and all humans are fallible, biased and ignorant of God's perfect message. All we can do is our best.

I'm not saying that it doesn't mean space aliens. It might. But it seems much more likely to me that it meant foreigners.

Only God has all the answers. The Bible is such a helpful and powerful tool, but we have to talk to him ourselves and ask him what it means.

They were likely talking about "immigrants". "alien" is a slang term for an immigrant, usually an illegal one
